If California’s Moonbeam can agree to $10 billion in cuts, if Cuomo can reduce the budget year-over-year and refuse to “tax the rich”, these robber barons in Congress can cut multiple $100’s of billions from the fed budget.

Hoyer said these conservative members were not allowing the GOP leadership to compromise with Democrats and pass a continuing resolution for the remainder of fiscal year 2011, which ends August 31.

Don't you remember Steny? It's called a majority. When The rats where in a majority they rammed everything they wanted through and to hell with the minority.

Also back in 1994 when the government was shut down it was caused by Clinton, the republicans got the blame;BUT the American people got a balanced budget.

Harkening back to the government shutdown of 1996, Hoyer blamed what he called the “perfectionist caucus” for refusing to compromise, then and now.

There is a big difference between then and now, Mr. Hoyer. It can be measured in trillions of dollars of useless spending, rampant inflation because we are printing money, overwhelming interest payments on a burdensome national debt.

We cannot keep on borrowing money, increasing taxes, and printing money to maintain the spending status quo for the Democrats. There is no money. Our economy is in a wreck. When will you wake up, Mr. Hoyer?

You cannot get by blaming Bush, blaming the Republicans, and blaming the Tea Party for 50 years of irresponsible Democrat fiscal policies. Your time is up, Mr. Hoyer.
