I note in the article not only are ABC and TCFPI calling foul but
the GAO had criticized the arbitrary and opaque process used for energy loans.
VP Cheney simply meeting with people from industry about energy policy caused a huge uproar, even lawsuits within months of the Energy Tax Force forming but Obama giving out loans to political boosters? Crickets.
Where's Issa's oversight committee? Where's Judicial Watch and others who sued the Bush administration?
Steve Westly (D) was the State Controller in CA from 03-07. Ran for governor in '06 but didn't win the Dem nomination. As a high profile bundler for Obama and relatively young (54), you can bet he hasn't given up on political ambitions.
