Israel wins rare victory in Latin America with Colombian President Calderon announcement at World Jewish Congress meeting in Bogota.
After suffering a series of diplomatic defeats to the Palestinians in Latin America, Israel won a rare victory on Wednesday when Colombia announced that it would not unilaterally recognize a Palestinian state.
Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos told a delegation of the World Jewish Congress in a meeting in the Colombian capital of Bogota that his government would not recognize Palestinian statehood as a matter of principle.

Good for Columbia! A rare example of courage
not often seen today.
God bless Colombia.
Now we know why The Kenyan Muslim doesn’t like Columbia, or its President. But he sure gets on all fours for his buddy Chavez in Venezuela, doesn’t he?
Viva Calderon, Viva Columbia. I wish America had a leader who would stand along side of Columbia in support of Israel. I guess we will have to wait until 2012 for that, God willing.
I guess that Colombia can forget about its free trade agreement with the US under the Obama regime.
Obama HATES Colombia. Well, he and all the left hate it, and the Islamists are certainly piling on, too.
Ever since he took office, he has done everything possible to undermine the country and stymie its (non-Marxist, capitalist) growth.
Makes sense, considering they have their own home grown terrorists who would like to carve up Columbia.
Good for Columbia, we don’t need no stinkin pastinean murdering state..
Let’s help support Columbia by legalizing pot and getting the old gold and red bud back....YEEEEEEEEEEHaWWWW
wouldn’t that be interestin, having the druggers fighting the islamic fascist terrorists. the druggers are already armed, probably better. than, after both sides slaughter each other, columbia can be free.
“Colombian President Calderon”
“Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos”
Well - which is it - Calderon or Santos?
I think of the line in “Good Morning, Vietnam”
Great Britain recognized the island state of Singapore.
How do you recognize an island? Do you go, “exc— Hey, wait. No, don’t tell me.Wait, wait. Didn’t we meet last year at the Feinman Bar Mitzvah?”
“You look a lot like Hawaii. Didn’t we meet last year at the Peninsula Club? No.”
Maybe I’ll just move to Colombia.
I don’t think that would work. They’d both figure out pretty quick that nobody was going to ransom those hostages!
“Lets help support Columbia by legalizing pot and getting the old gold and red bud back....”
Ha, I think they found a more profitable “cash crop” these days!
Santos is the president of Colombia.
I think whoever edited this article needs to lay off the Benadryl.
Yea, didn’t think of that, but that stuff is really nasty..

Now that's a neat segue.
Yes, I was thinking for an instant that the story referred to Columbia University. It would have been great if the headline was Columbia: We Will Not Recognize Barack Obama as an Alumnus.
In fact, we have no documentation whatsoever of Obama ever earning a degree there. No one in his alleged graduating class, even in his alleged major, can remember him. Lately, we have suggestions that he spent one of the years he was allegedly attending Columbia in Pakistan. I (Never knew that Columbia had a satellite university there. (LOL!))
Good to know somebody’s not on crack.

MANNING MARABLE (r.i.p.) KEYWIKI RESEARCH:
I don't see anything, though, to indicate that he was an Obama professor at Columbia or anywhere else.
Just another incident where, during research, the trail always leads to Malcolm X...in one way or another. Happens all the time, I started researching the background a long time ago...
MX pops up everywhere I look. He was there to welcome the first arrivals on the airlift in September 1959 at Idelwild airport...and now it has been clearly established that the kenyan student arrived in Hawaii THREE MONTHS BEFORE that first flight landed.
Even more perplexing: The kenyan student in his own words stated in an interview dated June 1962, that he had not been back to kenya FOR SEVEN YEARS.
There's a great deal missing in what we know...
They never had a chance. Their respect for America puts them at odds with the Obama administration.
