That's what would happen if Congress pares back appropriations for USAID, says Rajiv Shah:
"We estimate, and I believe these are very conservative estimates, that H.R. 1 would lead to 70,000 kids dying," USAID Administrator Rajiv Shah testified before the House Appropriations State and Foreign Ops subcommittee.
"Of that 70,000, 30,000 would come from malaria control programs that would have to be scaled back specifically. The other 40,000 is broken out as 24,000 would die because of a lack of support for immunizations and other investments and 16,000 would be because of a lack of skilled attendants at birth," he said.
It's worth noting that non-military foreign aid is just about the only category of spending a majority of Americans consistently favor cutting...

Why don’t the countries where these children are at risk increase their deficit spending or print more money? Why do WE have to do it?
I have no doubt that 70,000 children will die from malaria and other preventable diseases. Civil war, tribalism, religious conflict, crony capitalism, Marxism, vile dictatorships and natural disasters all will kill likely many more. Our foreign aid goes, for the most part into rich and corrupt men’s pockets.

This 70,000 is a speculative lie, as opposed to the documented millions of kids that abortion has killed.
The advocates of killing nascent human life do what they do best — complain about not having enough tax revenue.

While I can't speak to all of their messaging, good or bad, the bottom line is they could stand in front of the Capitol 24-7 and the pro-Democrat media simply ignores them. How many alternative health care plans were put out by the GOP during the Obamacare fight and yet were ignored even when Obama & Co. constantly used the line "If you've got something better then show us."?
If the GOP messages and the pro-Dem media ignores it, then did the GOP really make a sound?

No, it was Rachel Carson who killed men, women and children when through her efforts she got DDT banned. What malaria control programs kill mosquito’s better than DDT??? Obama knows that just/exactly 70,000 kids will die? It’s right out of their playbook. Anytime a Republican suggest cutting back on anything, the Democrats say kids, and/or the elderly are going to die.
