Santa Cruz man critical after beating at Dodger Stadium

LOS ANGELES - A 42-year-old Santa Cruz man is in critical condition at a Los Angeles area hospital today after being beaten and kicked by two men wearing Dodger's attire in the parking lot of Dodger Stadium Thursday night, Los Angeles police said.

Bryan Stow went to the opening game with three friends, at least some of whom work with him at American Medical Response in San Mateo, said his brother-in-law, David Collins of Scotts Valley.

Stow, a Giants fan, is a father of two who works as a paramedic, Collins said.

"He's not doing too well," he said. "He's still unconscious and they just decided to put him in a medically induced coma. They are hoping the brain swelling will go down, but it hasn't and they are talking about removing one of his frontal lobes."

Collins said he spoke with one of Stow's friends who told him the four friends were wearing Giants attire and being heckled by several people as they left the game. They ignored them, he said, and then two men "came out of nowhere" and struck Stow in the back of the head.

He fell and struck his head on the pavement and the men continued to attack him, kicking and hitting him, Collins said.

More Mexican skinhead violence. This is why I entirely avoid Dodgers games now.

And I thought Rangers-Celtic soccer matches were bad.

Sickening, what kind of country are we turning into?

The left is nasty and out of control, we are being infiltrated by a violent Hispanic culture and DC had their heads up their butts as usual.

Just sickening!

I drove through LA at 6 am today to go to the airport. People honk at each other all the time and drive like jerks.

In Houston, another driver will just shoot you if you act that way in traffic.

Armed society is a polite society.

“Los Angeles police Sgt. Sanford Rosenberg said the suspects were described as Latino men in their late teens or early 20s”

How much do you want to bet that the perps are either illegal aliens or the sons of illegal aliens.

Even the stadium is dilapidated. We went last year, and the place needs a lot of money to be invested. The fellow fans seemed to be as you described.

Maybe there’s no way to keep the riff raff out of sporting events. It sure makes you think twice about simply attending a ballgame. There are always fans of the other team there. Some people, for whatever reason, don’t know how to behave. Whether it was drinking, love of the Dodgers, gang culture, feeling dissed, or whatever it was, these guys took it way too far.

Well, hell yeah they would be.

A bunch of seven footers running around with hockey sticks, flailing away at soccer balls? I ain't going near 'em.

You can bet it were mexicans. The only way to avoid the La Raza crowd is get a dugout ticket. Whenever the Mariners come to Dodger stadium, I pay extra to get lower level seats. My Filipino buddy told me anywhere else above lower level is like watching a mexican soccer game.

It's nuts. It wasn't like that at all when I was a kid going to the games in the 70s. But almost everybody who remembers that is either dead or has left the area.

Sounds like exuberant conquerors demonstrating to the vanquished who is in control. As the Gaul said to the Roman: "Woe to the Conquered!" Get used to it, learn how to signal submission.

I suspected this was about more than Dodgers vs. Giants. It appears to be a gang-related racial attack.

The media is spinning this story as if it’s about “team rivalry.” Keeping the masses sedated.

Just check out the crowd, there’s a reason why Fox Sports doesn;t pan OUTSIDE the lower level seats...they’re all mexicans LOL. Then they want to add an NFL team here?! Might as well add a police station inside the stadium.

You betcha. That’s why I go to Kings hockey games..we’re violent, but not racist. (Except when my Canucks visit the Kings, then I’m the enemy).
