The Giants fan who was severely beaten at the end of the Dodgers home opener Thursday is a Santa Cruz paramedic and the father of two children.
Bryan Stow, 42, hit his head on the pavement during the attack and is in a medically induced coma, family members told the Santa Cruz Sentinel.
"He's not doing too well," brother-in-law David Collins told the paper. "He's still unconscious and they just decided to put him in a medically induced coma. They are hoping the brain swelling will go down, but it hasn't and they are talking about removing one of his frontal lobes."
The Los Angeles Police Department released sketches of two suspects in the attack.

The attackers, "believed to be two hispanic males," are truly cowards. How about they try the same thing in San Francisco??
Please watch the video.
Tim Conway jr from Kfi had some details. Just heartbreaking. These two should be in prison.
This sounds less like “Dodger Fan hating Giants Fan” and more like “Mexican KKK hating Gringo”
My guess is they ran back across the border.
That is what these criminals illegals do.
Sad/angry BTTT.
Knowing the percentages of illegals in LA, there’s a chance these punks are already south of the border.
I understand there have been other problems in the lot @ Dodger Stadium in the past even including murder.
This is a shame.
I believe the same.
There are hispanic “fans” who don’t want to see ANY white people at the stadium, either in the stands or on the field.
It won’t be long before they attack some of the players.
The Dopertarians say that about drugs and prostitution anyway.
This is sad, so sad. Prayers up every day for that man. The police are begging for videos taken with people’s phone cameras.
John and Ken were discussing this yesterday. There is a huge Mexican gang presence at Dodgers games. Sickening. This city is going to HELL for these damn illegals. For WHAT??? They cost us far too much to make cheap (read: slave) labor worth it.
LA's probably the safest place for them to stay. Even if they do get caught, the worst that will happen is a free trip back south to visit relatives for a little while.
Yet Philly fans are the worse for throwing snowballs at a 150lb drunk Santa. go figure.
I hope this guy makes it, and the perps go to jail for a VERY long time.
Everyone panders to the latinos, esp. mexicans, so they figure they own the city and can do what they want.
The Dodgers organization are pandering more than ever. They have even introduced a “Doyer Dog” at the food stands, as ridiculous as that seems.
The liberals are so damn naive. Quite a few conservatives are, too....
I stopped going to professional sporting events a long time ago due to the thug behavior of both fans and players. Thug culture disgusts me and I'm not going to support it with my hard-earned money. Sporting events stopped being family-friendly quite some time ago and it seems to be getting worse.
Two years ago my son (who was 23 at the time) got sucker punched by an Indians fan following a game in Detroit. He had his jaw broken.
They have video and released sketches?
I do not get the pandering to Latinos, though I see it every day. I love Hispanic Americans, but hate the anchor baby takeover. If I were a genie I would wish NO PUBLIC SERVICES including non-life-saving medical care AND education, for illegals. I’d also wish for $1000 fines per day per hiring an illegal, making everyone scared to hire them, and they’d self deport, and lazy Mexico would have to actually take care of their poverty like 99.99% of all countries on this earth have to do.
Yes, and if you view the TV report at the link, they even describe the neck tattoos on one of the perps. In addition, there was a female driver waiting in a car for the getaway. License plate #, anyone? Lots of witnesses, so it is known who these trash are. They are long gone and far away by now....
Absolutely. The “rivalry” has been nasty for some time now.
They could be in El Salvador by now
“But another point I’d like to make it that this idiotic Dodgers-Giants rivalry is totally out of control.”
It could be worse-what if they had never left NYC?;)
I went to the playoff game at Dodger Stadium in 2006 to see The Mets, clad in team gear. The only seats we could obtain were in the pavillion (bleachers). On my way to the restroom in the 7th inning, a hand grabbed me - LAPD. “If you’re going in there, put your hat in your pocket, and turn your jacket inside out”. A bit extreme, I thought, but I complied.
He saved my life.
Yeah, but they’ll illegally vote Democrat in two years, so that makes everything OK, right Hussein?
We may not win many championships in Houston, but things like this make me appreciate the fact that we have mostly polite, well-behaved sports fans.
Try that is San Francisco? Then what? After the beating go back to work at a hotel on Fisherman’s Wharf?
You have a bunch of lilly-white Gigantes(from their own jerseys) fans in the belly of the beast talking sh#t. What do you think would happen?
Well said.
And it is KILLING this state!!! (Along with public employees’ pensions and bennies - though at least that is not asymptotically growing, like the breeding illegals...)
I've been to exactly one game, and it was in Seattle- in the King Dome. I had to go- I was part of the halftime show. Long time ago, though.
My great grandpop played pro baseball, way back in the 1880s, IIRC. I am tempted to believe that things were different back then, but they had their raucous, over the top types then, too.
About ten years ago, now, a co-worker's brother was murdered after leaving a game at Candlestick Park and stopping to use a pay phone to get directions. Not sure if the perps were ever found.
Those Philadelphia sports fans are insane.
Oh wait..
A Giants fan was murdered in the Dodger Stadium parking lot a couple years ago. You don’t see the gang element at AT&T Park. The crowd there is suburban and gentrified. The park stops selling beer in the 7th inning. Also, the parking lot is only 5,000 spaces, expensive, and mainly limited to season ticket holders. Most fans arrive by public transportation or park blocks away. You can’t make a quick getaway at AT&T Park. There is a strong security presence inside and around the park. AT&T Park is a first-class, fan-friendly operation.
I’m sure whorealdo will have a full hour investgation show on soon.
In California, though we don’t have CCW in most of the state, we do have Open Carry, though it is rarely practiced. Time to start an Open Carry organization in L.A.
Orange County to the south doesnt have anywhere near these kind of problems. Maybe thats why the name the “’Los Angeles’ Angels of Anaheim” may not be such a bad idea.
Hunter’s Point, the neighborhood surrounding Candlestick, is one of the worst in SF. I used to go to Giants games at the Stick, but that was in the late 80s/early 90s, and it wasn’t quite as bad.
This is horrible. For them to attack Bryan & his two friends like COWARDS, from the back, earns them a spot in hell. And a quick one, too. I doubt the Giants fans were talking smack in the parking lot. Prayers up...
“We may not win many championships in Houston, but things like this make me appreciate the fact that we have mostly polite, well-behaved sports fans.”
It’s the same with the players. I admire the respect that the Houston and St. Louis players have for each other. Even though I’m a Cardinal fan, there’s something I’ve always liked about Lance Berkman, and I thought it was shame when Houston traded him. I am thrilled that he’s now a Cardinal. I’m sure Astros fans will give The Big Puma a warm welcome when the Cards play their first game there (if he doesn’t get injured first).
For a vaunted rivalry, there were a lot fewer fans in the seats this afternoon.
>I believe the same.
There are hispanic fans who dont want to see ANY white people at the stadium, either in the stands or on the field.<
Like I posted in another thread, dont even try IF YOU ARE WHITE to watch at Dodger stadium above lower level...
It’s a La Raza festival. Good thing I’m Italian-Asian mix and 6 feet tall so whenever I watch my Mariners visit L.A., the mexicans dont bother me. But I feel for my obviously gringo buds who watch the game with me.
I suspect the whites have pretty much switched allegiance to the Angels.
True. I’ve watched 3 M’s games at Angels stadium a year ago and a large majority are white. The parking is a rip-off though.
Mariner fans are a disgusting lot! We go every year when the Yankees come to town and the mean spirited, ugly comments are really awful! Meanwile went to LA last year when the Yankess were there and I was scared for my life in that place. The stadium guards were searching pockets for knives, guns or any other kind of weapon available! WE were saying that if ICE came in raided the place we would have been sitting there alone!
I went to Dodger games at the Colisium and then the first few years at Dodger Stadium, early and mid 60s.
Nobody fought. White people did not dress and act like minorities and x-convicts.
You have to understand, California is doomed, once the whites leave (which is soon - I live here and am looking now), it’s done, finished
There is nothing but car lots, restaurants and liquor stores across most of Los Angeles. I was there yesterday visiting and the areas are more like Tijuana than America.
There is no border, the influx is huge and has taken to the Social Services for citizens, it’s a disaster.
