Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), a military lawyer, is the first member of Congress to say the legislature needs to explore the possibility, however unlikely, of limiting some kinds of free speech - like Terry Jones' Quran burning - that help America's enemies.
"I wish we could find a way to hold people accountable. Free speech is a great idea, but we're in a war," he told CBS's Bob Schieffer on "Face the Nation."
"During World War II, we had limits on what you could do if it inspired the enemy," Graham said, adding that he wanted to do "anything we can to push back here in America against acts like this that put our troops at risk."

Back in WWII we knew the Japanese and Nazis were doing atrocities sort of like Muslims now.
Does anyone think for a minute we worried about insulting them? We went flat out and literally whipped the hell out of them. We still held on to our values but when the Japs started killing prisoners on Guadalcanal, I recall a marine saying they simply did the same thing back to them.
That wasn’t the way we wanted to fight but we sure as heck were not going to take that kind of evil sitting down either.

We can’t burn a koran, but muslims can go on killing Jews and Christians. Muslim leaders can call for the destruction of America and Israel, and our leaders say we can negotiate w/them. Many of America’s leaders are morally vacant and corrupt. They are morally sick.
To think that our soldiers in Afghanistan are dying to protect the right of a bunch of illiterate savages to protest the burning of their “holy book” by murdering innocent people, not to mention the right of a US Senator to advocate the repeal of the 1st Amendment for the same reason - further words fail me. With “Republicans” like Graham, who needs Democrats?

Sen. Graham, do you really want to advocate giving our enemies control over what Americans can and cannot say and do? Really? If so, then it seems to me that they’ve won. Are you, Sen. Graham, really advocating we surrender our right of free speech because Mohammedians threaten violence?
They were mocked and held to ridicule - we trashed talked the enemy on our way to beating them, in a war.

Our so-called leaders are "leading" the demise of Western Civ. William Burnham referred to this as "Suicide of the West." I refuse to abide it, personally.
How about having Afghanistan release the Christian converts it is now holding in jail (and sometimes threaten with a death penalty)?
Is that the kind of freedom we are defending in Afghanistan?
