My concern about 2012 is — because I’m an American — to make sure that Obama is a one term President.
I hate to say this but even Giuliani looks good compared to Bambi or Hitlery.
She’s running, y’know.
What say you Jim?
What say you Jim?
Rudy, your fifteen minutes is up.
Rudy, your fifteen minutes is up.
If all we are faced with are candidates that are too far right so that they cant win the general election, then thats when Id reconsider doing it.”
Wait what is this? I don’t even......
NO more liberals. NO more moderates. NO more rinos.
NO more RudyMcRombees!
And if I think that I can help by being a candidate, then that would probably persuade me to do it...
Giuliani has plenty of issues but I seriously doubt he’s be kow-towing to Islam the way Obama has been doing since day 1.
He’d make a pretty good Homeland Security Sec in Palin’s cabinet.
... and that goes double for TheDonald.
NO Trump either!
Rudy was in then out so many times in the NY Senate race it was a joke. This is why there are two Dem Senators.
I am no Rudy POTUS fan but he was a damned good leader during 9/11 and he has a point. Unless Independents rally with whoever the GOP nominee is we are doomed with Obama.
If the GOP candidate is not favored by independents they will all then split off and vote for a Rand Paul.
Heck if Judy is worried about electability we can just run Obama on both tickets, as a bonus that could slow Hillary down.
Mr. 3% speaketh...
Trump Trumps them ALL!!!
Oh how I agree but the GOP is doing a shabby job all around do you think they will back Bachmann much less Palin? In the end I pray all unite behind someone that can beat Obama.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
We need a true conservative that can pull off the union vote (Screw Obama’s SEIU PROGRESSIVE MOB) and Ca. and pick up some in NY.
We need Reagan!
I believe Reagan was as popular as Bachmann and Palin and low in the polls at this stage.
Independents like Bachmann as she is a tax attorney for the fair tax.
So there is hope.
Watching this guy Giuliani navigate the political process is like watching a horror film festival---Rooty's had more sequels than Bela Lugosi.
No matter how many stakes are driven into Rooty's presidential aspirations, the Rudester comes back from the dead, climbs out of his coffin with the same evil smirk, to wreak havoc on our political process again and again. Rooty's got the resilience of Count Dracula and the rap sheet of a calculating conman......not exactly star material for the White House.
THE ROOTY READING ROOM You can casually surf FR and come up with quotes, speeches, interview transcripts, video clips, photos, newspaper/magazine articles, reports, records, statistics, WRT to Rooty and NYC budgets, NYC spending, political appointments, gun grabs, connections to the gun control lobby, lawsuits against gun manufacturers, the truth about crime reduction in NYC, private property grabs, asset forfeitures, abuses of office, individual rights trampling, constitution trampling, violations of public trust, violations of the rule of law, national security risks, failures in security preparedness prior to and after 911.
Not to mention corruption, graft, bribes, favors, union dealings, mob dealings, business dealings leveraged through government contracts and contacts, rainmaking for his business partners, connections to US, Middle East or South American oil and energy companies and law firms that have profited and or will profit from Giuliani's government offices especially if he becomes president, war profiteering, his personal and business finances.
Then there's his train wreck of a private life and lack of character, lack of qualifications for high office, illegal alien NYC sanctuaries, welfare for illegals, pandering to illegals/illegal alien lobby, support for the abortion and gay rights lobbies, NARAL connections and participation, past and current support for McCain-Feingold, connections and dealings with liberal officeholders or the liberal/socialist caucuses/lobbies, etc, etc, etc, that you can find.
For a man intent on moving into the White House, Rudy Giuliani carries a lot of baggage - but its his draft-dodging past that makes an interesting tidbit.
Asked about terrorism and the ME, Giuliani boasted, It is something I understand better than anyone else running for president. But it was draft deferments that kept Giuliani, 62, out of Vietnam while he attended law school.
He was granted a 2-A occupational deferment for his job as a law clerk in 1969 after his boss, the late Manhattan federal Judge Lloyd MacMahon, wrote a letter to the local draft board - a move criticized years later as rare and questionable.
Law clerks were not on the 1968 list of critical jobs that qualified for occupational deferments.
When the deferment expired in 1970, Giuliani became susceptible again - but lucked out with such a high draft number that it would have been unnecessary to attempt to continue his exemption. He was never called. SNIP
AND GET THIS ROOTY SPIN: Giuliani was opposed to the war in Vietnam on strategic and tactical grounds...... his spokesman added, although she wouldnt offer specifics.
Yeah, sure. NOW he's againt the war (that's why Rooty got a fishy occupational deferment).
Before he could be elected he has to be nominated.
I still dont think the GOP base will nominate a guy who is voluntarily on his third wife ... whether his name is Rudy, Newt, or Donald.
That can't be the only qualifier, however. If the GOP candidate is not a conservative who has a proven track record consistent with traditional constitutional policy positions, then its another prescription for failure.
RG is a good man in his own right.
But we don’t need someone who the RINO’s think “can win”, we need someone who will surround herself with like-minded stalwarts who understand what we’re about to lose forever. We need a president who aims to set things right and who doesn’t take prisoners.
Maybe Rudy can replace Holder or something.
Once his driver----Rooty promoted Kerik to Police Commissioner. Rooty figured Kerik at DHS would be a boon to Rooty's global security businesses. Kerik was later nailed for lying on the WH form. Wonder who helped Kerik fill out the falsified form? Hmmmmm?
As one FReeper insightfully posted: "Dis auta be fun. Not only is Rooty a sock puppet for illegals, abortionists, homos, pukeneos, Rooty is a stoolie for da goodfellas."
The reason we lost in 2008 was because independents didn’t care for our middl-of-the-road guy.
The reason we won big in 2010 was because independents voted for rock-ribbed conservatives.
In 2012 we will be told that rock-ribbed conservatives are too far to the right for the delicate sensibilities of independents. Don’t believe it for a minute. We run a squishy moderate, we get shellacked.
LOL! He may as well. All of the other politicians in the running for the oligarchy are like him, too.
IS THAT A PROMISE OR A THREAT, ROOTY? Giuliani told Floridians, If all we are faced with are candidates that are too far right so that they cant win the general election, then thats when Id reconsider doing it."
Rooty's utterances sound like they're straight out of the Pukeneo's "We Hate Conservatives" Playbook.
The only position I would consider Rudy for would be Homeland Security.
President ? Nope.
All the pro-Rooty lib NOOBS are outing themselves and just begging for a ZOT like with that famous Bug Zapper thread in 08.
Scores of dead Rooty trolls littered the FR Server that day. It was .... beautiful.
If the GOP can't come up with a better candidtate than either Rudy or Mitt in 2012, then they deserve to wander in the wilderness for 40 year. (unfortunately, the damage to the republic may be irreparable.)
I agree. I have hope Bachmann Palin can pull a Reagan.
The media spin loves pimping Obama and making any conservative Alinskized. Bachmann would pick a good VP
and could pull a Reagan. I just wish West would jump in.
I am certain that Rudy has a “pile” left. Unfortunately it is probably dog poop.
Heheh-——now that’s funny.
That was a VERY good day.
As a voter who has been registered as "independent" (non-alligned) for 45 years, I am so thrilled that there are FReepers like Dubya-M-DeesWent2SyriaStupid! here to tell everyone how I'm going to vote.
Riiiiight.... “UP! the Middle”... Here we go again! The strategy of FAIL!
Liberal Party endorsement has been important to Giulianis political success...........The Liberal Party backed Rudy three times for mayor. And Rudy paid back the Liberal Party in spades----he was THAT appreciative.
(1) Mayor Rudy appointed Liberal Party Chairwoman Fran Reiter as Deputy Mayor. Rudy later gave her a $250K city job.
(2) Mayor Rudy gave the two sons of Liberal Party honcho Ray Harding top city jobs.
One Harding brother---Russel---stole the city blind, giving himself unauthorized salary raises, stealing electronic equipment, enjoying gay porn, internet child porn, and traveling with gay friends on the taxpayers' dime.
When Rudy was appraised of Russel's govt fraud, and that Russel was being prosecuted (he is now in jail), Rudy said he "felt bad" for the Harding family (gag).
Rudy never never deviated from the "I-Love-Liberals" drill and dared not utter a discouraging word about the depraved Russel, lest Rudy alienate big buck liberal donors and voters.
Remember voters, a look at Rudy's past is a glimpse into the future.
Republicans seem to be comfortable with nominating men who have been married twice (Reagan, Dole, McCain), but not with men who have been married three times. (Trump has been married four times.)
If it came down to Giuliani or Trump, I'd go with Giuliani--Trump is too much of a loose cannon and I'm still ticked off at him for his trashing of George W. Bush. He isn't enough of a Republican to be on the Republican ticket--it would be worse than if McCain had insisted on Lieberman as VP in 2008. But it definitely won't come down to a choice between Giuliani and Trump.
Two other Republican Presidents were married twice but the second marriage occurred after the first wife died--Benjamin Harrison and Theodore Roosevelt. In Harrison's case the second marriage was after he left office.
Let’s welcome as many RINOs into the primaries as possible. They can split the RINO vote and allow a conservative to prevail. That is if conservatives are smart enough to back one good candidate and not split their own votes...
I think Rudy would make a really good Director of Central Intelligence!
" P-l-e-a-s-e make me sound like a conservative."
"My stupid advisors told me I didn't need those redneck gun nuts and
those dumb pro-life Christian conservatives to make a primary showing."
" They're killing me on FR just b/c I dumped my wife for my mistress, don't talk
to my kids, was honored by NARAL, donated to Planned Parenthood, marched
for gay rights under the NAMBLA banner, appointed gays and pedophiles
to top city jobs, and provided a sanctuary for illegals."
I don’t care how many times someone has married. I don’t care how many illigitimate kids they have.
I care that they can defeat the “Won.”
