“This bill makes it more difficult for me to exercise my vote and my voice,” said UNCG junior Caleb Patterson.

Come on Dickweed. Just come out and say it. IT MAKES VOTER FRAUD A LOT TOUGHER THAN YOU THINK IT SHOULD BE.

“This bill makes it more difficult for me to exercise my vote and my voice,.... in both my home precinct and at school.

A photo ID is easy to get (just so long as you can show a birth certificate). When it came time for my grandfather to give up his driver's license, he turned it in at the BMV and got a new identification card at the exact same time. Too bad too, considering he had served on local Democratic party boards. He was very disappointed in all of his Republican grandkids.

The Dems have never given a number for the people who will be "disenfranchised" for not having an ID. Some old people past driving age who, for some reason, didn't get a state ID card to replace their dirver's license might have to go to the BMV sometime soon. Other than that is there any group who really don't get driver's licenses in significant numbers (New Yorkers excepted)?

Students should have to supply ID. When I voted in NOV. I did NOT have to supply ID and I am not a student- just verify my name address and registration.

The GOP NEED TO WAKE UP!

“This bill makes it more difficult for me to exercise my vote and my voice,”

Somewhere, a member of his grandmother's generation.... who dealt with real, legalized racism in the South... who overcame genuine (not imagined, like this clown) but genuine barriers to opportunity, or physical barriers to exercise their vote ...... is sadly shaking their heads.

One has to wonder why the usual cast of victims and their enablers would oppose this, since anyone voting illegally would be diluting their valuable franchise.

I get really upset about college students from the northeast attending school in the midAtlantic and southern states, who register and vote in presidential elections only in their host state. They know their already deep blue home states will go for the Dem. So they dilute votes of actual Virginia/NC residents.

There should be a follow up to those students’ registrations to verify that their permanent address for tax purposes, any tuition breaks or student loans are in the college state. If that can’t be proven, they should lose their franchise altogether.

How does it disenfranchise anybody?

The ruling elite, mafia thugs and the democraps do not want to disenfranchise the dead voters, illegal alien voters, the voters who vote multiple time in the same election and they do not want to have to account for those punched ballots that have no person attached to them at all (stuffed). If the dems can't cheat they can't win, it's that simple. Mandated voter ID is only a step toward cleaning up the voting system but it's a big step.

The voter ID bill would add one more obstacle to vote,...

I wonder how this good little democrat/liberal/socialist/communist/progressive/marxist feels about me having to show ID and have a background check when I buy a pistol.

NO Valid I.D.card don’t vote. That’s the only way the public can be assured of a fair election.

We don’t need illegal aliens voting in our elections and throwing them to the liberals.

I have an even better Idea and that is to ban Non working people, except People who have had a stake in our system to vote.

People that consume taxpayer dollars should have NO say as to whether spending is increased or decreased for them.

This one man one vote crap is detrimental to our country.

More truth would be that it will make it harder for the young little democrats to vote both in their home state via absentee and in person with their out of state ID....They should have student ID’s that make voting ok as long as they are residents and do not get a ballot from home too. The elderly have to have ID’s to cash their social security checks or a multitude of others things so why bring them into it?

These idiots just don’t want it to be any harder to commit vote fraud.

For instance, that one guy goes to UNCG. Some excerpts from their website that state ID requirements:

Have Your Picture Taken

Obtain your UNCG SpartanCard ID at the SpartanCard Center in Room 121, Elliott University Center (EUC), 336/334-5651, 8:00 A.M.–5:00 P.M. You must take proof of course registration (printout from UNCGenie) and photo identification to get your ID card. Your ID card will be automatically activated when the semester begins. You will not have access to certain campus services until your ID has been activated.

Name changes may be requested in person at the University Registrar’s Office, 180 Mossman Building. Requests submitted in person require a photo ID and specific legal documentation.

Name changes may be requested by mail. The letter must be signed and notarized and contain the following:
1. Name as it currently appears in the UNCG student information system;
2. New, complete legal name;
3. New signature, notarized, showing original notary seal and signature
Appropriate legal documentation must be attached to the letter.

You may also complete the form online, print and sign it, and return it to the University Registrar’s Office.

Different types of name changes require different types of legal documentation:

* Change of name due to Marriage requires a copy of marriage certificate or current Social Security card and a photo ID
* Change of name due to Legal Change requires a copy of court order or current Social Security card and a photo ID
* Change of name due to Divorce requires copy of divorce decree or current Social Security card and a photo ID
* Change of name due to Adoption requires copy of court order or current Social Security card and a photo ID
* Change of name due to Spelling Error requires a photo ID
* Change of name due to Hyphenated Name requires a photo ID

Current and former students who are employed by the University also must present their Social Security card, which reflects the new name, to the Payroll Office in the Mossman Building. Call 336/334-5946 for further information.

Area college students’ parents should stop paying their tuition and tell them to get jobs.

How would it keep this kid from voting? Does he have a driver’s license? Yes? Then he can go to his home precinct and vote, or request an absentee if he’s at college. This isn’t rocket surgery. Well, maybe to him it is.
