The dollar doesn’t have 10 years of life left in it...probably not one year.

That’s a start. Next year, additional cuts can be made.

For God’s sake, it is amazing and to be commended. Limbaugh today called it both substantively and politically brilliant.

It’s not enough, but it’s something. Far, far more than anything the ‘Rat Party is willing to do.

Totally inadequate.

Drudge has a headline: In March, the feds spent 8X their revenue. They spent $1T in one month.

Cut $5T? Over 10 years?? Hey, guess what? I've racked up $50,000 in credit card bills! But don't worry -- I've got a plan to drastically reduce my out of control spending: I've decided not to go to Starbucks on the first Monday of every month! Think of the money I'll save!!!

Too little too late.

Did you know the gubment spent 1 TRILLION dollars in March. In one freakin' month they spent 8 times what they took in. We are doomed, there is no way out of this.

We are soooooooooooo screwed. The deficit numbers are possibly the “cleverist” thing these anti-Free-America LIBs have ever done. Everyone will regret their self-loathing and self-hatred.

That’s nowhere near enough.

It's one hell of a start.

Here the Republicans are actually proposing cuts. Real cuts, trillions in cuts, and we have people on our own side already harping that it isn't enough.

You gotta start somewhere. This is extremely bold considering we are up against a public entirely wedded to the social welfare state.

These corrupt AH's are playing with the numbers...

It's a bull sh** shell game...

Those in D.C. have made a science out of playing the numbers while the American audience of fools drool in cups, while applauding....

In the real world of the tax paying private sector, when companies down size, and the economy went south, tens of millions of jobs are eliminated nearly over night.

What are the GD numbers of government payroll parasites that will lose their jobs??

Our side is about to get pummeled for these huge cuts and changes to the entitlements. This call for ‘not enough’ is pretty bad. I am all for being bold, and this is bold. We control the House. We will earn the Senate and White House if we prove to present a realistic solution to our problems. From what I have seen from Ryan, this is a huge step in the right direction. Unless we see something otherwise on the unveiling, our side needs to stick together and focus our attention on educating others on the situation and the fact that our side is the only one presenting a response that prevents our country from crumbling.

I have been annoyed at the weakness of the House leadership so far with the timid cuts and lack of a big message. I like what I am seeing so far. Remember, this is just the beginning of the process for the 2012 single year budget, but a blueprint for the next ten. There is plenty of opportunity to build on it if we are successful here.

I want to know what it cuts this year. These ten year time frames are political smoke and mirrors.

Any politician can promise to cut the budget by any number you want in ten years. The fact is that this Congress cannot bind the Congress in ten years.

These guys need to be forced to explain how much they will be cutting from this next year's budget, the only budget they control. These guys are talking about ten years from now to disguise the fact that they aren't signigicantly cutting the budget this year or next. And, this year and next are the only budgets that they can cut.
