Looking at this strictly from the angle of the backgrounds of the anchors at CBS (and NOT from political orientation), Pelley continues the tradition of Texans at the helm in that slot. Cronkite, though born in Missouri, was raised in Houston and went to UT. Rather's from Wharton. Austin's Bob Schieffer went to TCU. And Pelley was born in San Antonio and worked in Lubbock and the Dallas-Ft. Worth market.

It won’t make a difference what talking head they put in there to read the news. Until CBS changes from a propaganda broadcast arm of the Democratic Party to an actual news gathering outfit they won’t see any change in their ratings.

Another first for Katie - the first woman solo anchor to be replaced by a man.

Lacey vs Karen is Canada’s answer to Ginger vs Mary Ann and Jennifer vs Baily (WKRP).
My picks on the latter are Baily and Mary Anne...Lacey and Karen might be a tie.

Ginger vs Mary Ann and Jennifer vs Baily
For those who care, I’m a Mary Ann and Baily kind of guy.
The Gingers and Jennifers may turn heads initially but after 35 and certainly 40 the wheels start coming off.
All the while maintenance costs are exorbitant.

Buh bye disco duck.....

Couric = garden-variety, big-mouth lib --> always blame someone/something else...
ratings tanked after 1st night
Not many people like Katie ... CBS is just like MSNBC ... no one who matters watches
