NEW YORK— FOX News and Mercury Radio Arts, Glenn Beck’s production company, are proud to announce that they will work together to develop and produce a variety of television projects for air on the FOX News Channel (FNC) as well as content for other platforms including FOX News’ digital properties. Glenn intends to transition off of his daily program, the third highest rated in all of cable news, later this year.

Roger Ailes, Chairman and CEO of FOX News said, “Glenn Beck is a powerful communicator, a creative entrepreneur and a true success by anybody’s standards. I look forward to continuing to work with him.”

Glenn Beck said, “I truly believe that America owes a lot to Roger Ailes and FOX News. I cannot repay Roger for the lessons I’ve learned and will continue to learn from him and I look forward to starting this new phase of our partnership.”

Joel Cheatwood, SVP/Development at FOX News, will be joining Mercury Radio Arts effective April 24, 2011. Part of his role as EVP will be to manage the partnership and serve as a liaison with FOX News.

Ailes said, “Joel is a good friend and one of the most talented and creative executives in the business. Over the past four years I have consistently valued his input and advice and that will not stop as we work with him in his new role.”

“Glenn Beck” is consistently the third highest rated program on cable news. For the 27 months that “Glenn Beck” has aired on FOX News, the program has averaged more than 2.2 million total viewers and 563,000 viewers 25-54 years old, numbers normally associated with shows airing in primetime, not at 5pm. “Glenn Beck” has dominated all of its cable news competitors since launch.

About FOX News

FOX News Channel (FNC) is a 24-hour general news service covering breaking news as well as political, business and entertainment news. For more than 100 consecutive months, FNC has been the most-watched cable news channel in the country. Owned by News Corp., FNC is available in more than 90 million homes.

I’m betting he’ll do a weekly show rather than a daily. Maybe he’ll take Huckabee’s spot on the weekends.

Doesn’t sound like its about money. Its probably about Glenn needing more time off. He’s gotta be the busiest man in the media these days.

I never really "got" Glenn Beck.

I'm sure that in the voting booth we both mark our ballots nearly identically, but he always seems a too intense for me.

I loved Beck until his disparaging remarks about Trump as of late.

But I hope they move Judge Napolitano over from FBN and put him in that spot. He is excellent!

You said it! Anyone who has spent time on TV productions can tell you what a time hog it is (especially when YOU are the are show most of the time). His prep time and rehearsals must be insanely intense.

2 hours or radio, an hour TV show, The Blaze, and all the other appearances has got to be a rough pace to keep up.

Well good luck to him. I’m not a huge fan but Beck is a force for Good, no question about that. I’ve never felt he was “made for TV”, he has some interesting things to say but on TV his style just creeps me out. Overly dramatic I guess, or on the other side, overly silly. But he’s got a talent and Roger Ailes has a pretty good track record of leveraging talent to advantage.

Of course those who led boycotts of his TV show will claim victory.

And where will all the Gold companies advertize now?

You sound very much like the doctor in this story. The country is being burned down around you and you don’t “get” the firefighter standing there yelling for some help with that heavy hose?

I pray there aren’t too many of you out there. Then again, Obozo’s election seems to indicate that there are.

God help us.

A man visits the local ER with a broken arm. He’s escorted into an exam room and the doctor enters.
Ignoring the splintered ulna protruding from the man’s forearm, the doctor sniffs the air and asks “That’s a lovely aftershave. What is it?” Perplexed, the man tells him.
The doctor then foldles his tie and remarks “Beautiful tie. Wherever did you buy it?” Now angry, the man blurts “Damnit, doc, what about my arm?”
The doctor responds “Well, I WAS going to mention that — but I didn’t want to upset you.”

“Beck can’t be intense enough...”

You are so right! I know that Beck isn’t some people’s cup of tea simply because they get frightened about what they hear. I think people (not all but some) may like to think that things happen by coincidence and not by planning and organization. Personally, I will miss him. I will also not watch O’Reilly or some of the other ones...

Thanks, Glenn....

Glen Beck speaks the truth. The liars hate him and try to ridicule him like Saul Alinsky taught them to do. Some so called conservatives fall for the leftist lies, Those who truly love and serve the truth know what Glen Beck has done for America. He has inspired millions to see and participate in the truth.

Our lives do depend on paying attention. The way food prices are going up we need to start stocking some basic food items. Anything with tomatoes in it has gone up 40% so far & now we hear corn items will be going up also as they are using it for gas products. House prices have gone down over 50-70% so far & no one can find work that wants to work. I never thought I would say that Carter was the worse President but Obama has him beat by a mile.

“I never really “got” Glenn Beck”

What makes Glenn unique is the amount of actual “in their own words” documentation he brings to the show. It is head and shoulders above any other show on TV or radio.

I can understand not liking his presentation or not believing in what he clearly identifies as his opinions but all of that pales compared to the irrefutable information about this cabal of anti-American traitors in the current administration.

From Van Jones on down, no other network nor no other FOX show has exposed these cockroach-human half breeds for the communists they are.

FTA: “Founded in 2002, Mercury has a full time staff of 50 employees and is based in New York, NY.”

I sure wish he’d relocate his company to a more tax-friendly state and starve New York of the money they suck out of Mercury.

I know what they are saying about the up and coming projects but this doesn't feel right.

I guess the way the news broke mid week, the way Beck explained it on his t.v. show and the lack of an explanation.... I know Soros has really been gunning for him by using Media Matters to attack him and Fox, and he had a meeting with Roger Ailes not too long ago. Then there was the New York Times article a few weeks back..

I know Beck has a contract with Fox until December but the way he was talking on his show, it sounded like he wouldn't be around this summer. He kept warning us about the up coming riots in May and September but he said "we will find each other", which sounded to me like he won't be on air during that time.

All of the media is full of glee.

Glenn Beck to shut down show

By DAVID BAUDER

Last Modified: Apr 7, 2011 02:11AM

NEW YORK — Glenn Beck later this year will end his Fox News Channel talk show, which has sunk in the ratings and has suffered from an advertiser boycott.

Fox and Beck’s company, Mercury Radio Arts, said Wednesday they will stay in business creating other projects for Fox television and digital, starting with some documentaries Beck is preparing.

Beck was a quick burn on Fox News Channel. Almost immediately after joining the network in January 2009, he doubled the ratings at his afternoon time slot. Fans found his conservative populism entertaining, while Comedy Central’s Stephen Colbert described Beck’s “crank up the crazy and rip off the knob” moments.

He was popular with Tea Party activists and drew thousands of people to the National Mall in Washington last August for a “restoring honor” rally.

Yet some of his statements got him in trouble, and critics appealed to advertisers to boycott his show last summer after Beck said President Obama had “a deep-seated hatred for white people.”

More than 400 Fox advertisers told the company they did not want their spots on Beck’s show.

Beck said that he went to Roger Ailes, Fox News chairman and CEO, in January to discuss ways they could continue to work together without the daily show.

“We felt Glenn brought additional information, a unique perspective, a certain amount of passion and insight to the channel and he did,” Ailes said. “But that story of what’s going on and why America is in trouble today, I think he told that story as well as could be told.”

Viewers had begun turning away. Beck’s 4 p.m. show averaged 2.7 million viewers during the first three months of 2010, and was at just under 2 million for the same period this year, the Nielsen Co. said. His decline was sharper among younger viewers sought by advertisers.

Beck said ratings for his television show were not an issue, noting that “we have buried the competition in every sense.”

He has built a powerful brand for himself through a daily radio show, best-selling books and personal appearances. Beck is scheduled to speak at the Chicago Theatre on April 14.

I myself am going off the TV grid the commercials we are subjective too are getting more offensive

There was one yesterday about selling a tool at the same time the man was getting a proctology exam along with future interns

TV has turn into a greater cesspool..

With the internet one can have more control and edit out the pollution of from the mind.

Beck is revealing hard things and those who have ears to hear will receive and those who want to continue their hedodist life will reject it..
