Tuesday Beckping.

Its official folks, Glenn will be ending his daily show on FOX sometime between now and when his contract ends in December. Have no fear, he isn't leaving Fox and it sounds as if his role will expand. The statement from FOX is as follows......

FOX NEWS AND MERCURY RADIO ARTS ANNOUNCE NEW AGREEMENT (New York, NY) Fox News and Mercury Radio Arts, Glenn Beck’s production company, are proud to announce that they will work together to develop and produce a variety of television projects for air on the Fox News Channel as well as content for other platforms including Fox News’ digital properties. Glenn intends to transition off of his daily program, the third highest rated in all of cable news, later this year.

The rest of that statement can be found at the Blaze.

Fox News and Mercury Radio Arts Announce New Agreement; Beck to ‘Transition Off’ Daily TV Program

In my personal Opinion I suspect Glenn will have a greater defensive role for all of the FOX news network against the bottom feeders at Media Matters. (They're cheering and claiming credit but I suspect they won't be for long.)

Prayers for Glenn Beck, as requested in FRmail..........and I AGREE with..... Glenn Beck is doing very dangerous work. Darkness doesn’t like sunlight. Please join me in praying for the following specific things. - physical health and safety of Glenn, his family, and employees - courage, strength, and perseverance for Glenn and his employees - viewer, listener, and sponsor support for Glenn’s radio and tv shows (so the opposition cannot shut him up) - accurate information and extensive resources for Glenn’s research - decisive action from conservative politicians and law enforcement resulting from Glenn’s research. And please say one extra special prayer that God will stop the macular dystrophy that is attacking Glenn’s eyes. And if it isn’t God’s plan to save Glenn’s vision, pray that he gives Glenn an even greater insight so he may share it with us all. Thanks, If you would like to be added to this little Prayer Ping List, please FReepmail me.

I guess Soros finally got Beck off the air like he promised. This country will loose a great voice against the destruction of our country.

Such a nice gentleman. We met him in Houston years ago at a Rally for America organized by Chris Baker. Back then you could walk right up to Glenn & Pat and talk to them. Such nice men. They are very humble in person. It makes me so sad that Glenn must worry about security now. Prayers for Glenn & Pat!

Glenn and Brett are the only 2 Fox shows I make an effort to see. There are several I intentionally turn off. I wish someone else would start a news station.

I was thinking the same thing. Although Beck may be gone, my dislike for Soros remains.

In a sense it sounds like FOX is entering a greater partnership with Glenn and his media company.

Knowing Glenn, I think he may have something really radical planned against the left and this is a protective measure for FOX.

Saw the announcement about Glenn leaving his daily TV show, but have not heard him mention what types of projects he may be taking on.

But Beck won’t be gone. He’s ending the daily show. He and FOX are actually hiring more people for this new partnership.

My own personal opinion is that Glenn is actually being promoted in a sense.

Should be a very interesting show - not just for Beck and Fox’s recent announcement, but today is Jesus’ real birthday according to Mormons, if I remember correctly.

He never really wanted to to the type of show he’s doing now. He only does it because the rest of the media has no interest in anything but crap.

Does anyone see it or is it just me...

Mercury Communications keeps on ticking but Glenn exits stage right..

Why? Can't have a conflict of interest.

Especially when you are the communications director of a Presidential Candidate.

My wild @$$ guess? He will be Palin's Comm Dir.

Look @ all the media types he is versed in, he could assemble the team she needs that is also adapt at guerrilla marketing to get around the lame streams.....

So does she jump in around the same time he exits the stage?

Howdy all. Hate to hear Glenn is going to phase out the show... but my feeling from the news of his partnership with Fox will be perhaps a new channel of super in-depth analysis and reporting. I will miss his face on TV, but ya never know what’s going to happen with Glenn.

:)

This is just my opinion... I know there’s a lot going on, but it seems to me that Glenn has lost focus.

I read one of his books and it was excellent, I got the next one and it was all over the place.

There’s A LOT going on in the world, but I find Beck to be best when he has some focus and isn’t so scattered.

What I’m saying is, “One or two chalkboards .... not TEN.”

And with all these things going on, I worry for his health. I’m SURE that he gets lots of threats. This may wind up being just what everyone needs.

I might as well join Glenn Beck’s website to keep up since he will be leaving Fox News. Usually watch clips/ full show on youtube or the late night replay or record. I also get a replay of his radio show at night on local as they moved it last year from being live. That was mostly due to wanting to add an extra hour of news and then do local show before Rush Limbaugh. However I don’t hear the local show and the guys after Limbaugh are a mess. For a Kansas station it shouldn’t be that crappy.

I’m only speaking for me, but I do best when focusing on one or two things at a time. Maybe three.

So, I think that all this analysis and observation he does would be BEST chopped up (for special reports) or written in book form, as it’s hard for a person to process having so much thrown at them at once.

Obama did DEFINE it. He said "fundamental" change. People just didn't understand that fundamental means: a : serving as an original or generating source : primary b : serving as a basis supporting existence or determining essential structure or function : basic 2 a : of or relating to essential structure, function, or facts : radical ; also : of or dealing with general principles rather than practical application b : adhering to fundamentalism 3 : of, relating to, or produced by the lowest component of a complex vibration 4 : of central importance : principal 5 : belonging to one's innate or ingrained characteristics : deep-rooted

“He never really wanted to to the type of show he’s doing now. He only does it because the rest of the media has no interest in anything but crap.”

Then it was a good show while it lasted. Doing the work the media will not do. Wonder what he has up his sleeve. Just three years ago he was buried in HLN. Six years ago he was only on radio. Eleven years ago he was a DJ shock jock morning guy.

I had some family members that went Obama in 2008. They said, “I just want change from Bush... these wars ... Obama will get us out of these wars and I’m just tired of Bush and want a change...”

I have too much class to bring it up now.

In a sense it sounds like FOX is entering a greater partnership with Glenn and his media company.

I wouldn't count on it. Every departure from a network seems to involve vague declarations about future projects. Very few ever amount to anything - seems more like boilerplate BS to signal a relatively amicable parting of the ways.

True, the nuances of effect can change the world.

We are rapidly approaching a nexus that will determine our future. Good, bad, I can’t say. It doesn’t look rosey from my point of veiw. IMHO.
