It’s not just the birther issue that has Trump surging. That was just the catalyst that got him coverage.
It’s his comments about our lack of respect, and China, and our overall lagging position in the world (and what he can do about it) that has people’s attention as well.
It’s a sign of how bad things are on “our” side of the fence that so many people jump at someone like Trump, who they know nothing about and would be Schwarzeneger East if he actually got ...
But of course he could NOT get elected.
I have been mystified as to why the Republicans are afraid to go after Obama. Got Trump! The rest are either Pussys or the Crats have files on them all.
Can you imagine Trump as president. Here's what it would sound like when he is confronting Kuhdaffy. I know what you're thinking: 'Did he fire six shots, or only five?' Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But being this is a red button in the suitcase, the most powerful bomb in the world, and would blow your country clean off the map, you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well do ya, punk?
Trump is drip drip dripping all of the Obama scams that have been floating around for years.
I cant wait to read Cashill’s book. There are 25 reviews at amazon, overwhelmingly positive.
RE: Its his comments about our lack of respect, and China, and our overall lagging position in the world
Michael Savage seems to be a fan of Trump as he’s had Trump on his show several times.
One thing that Trump threatens to do is to INCREASE TARIFFS ON IMPORTS FROM CHINA. Savage applauds that too.
Yeah, that’ll do it... start a trade war with China.
Americans want the BC issue dealt with.
It’s the THREAT of it that’s the idea. It won’t get that far.
On Morning Joe this am, I like that he doesn’t sound like a “politician” dodging every question. In fact, he is a breath of fresh air, and I am not a person who every liked this guy! Trump is doing what the media never bothered to do, vetting Obama.
If Trump succeeds in knocking out the (.) on the BC issue, he will be the hands down nominee and next President.
The political atmosphere out there is absolutely perfect for a chest-thumping populist.
I say, better Trump now than some Ross Perot wannabe mucking things up in the general election.
When the dust settles it may very well be Cain/Pawlenty
Note: Donald says Obamacare unconstitional.
I was one of the first. I pre-ordered my book from Jack. I could not put it down. He nails it. ‘America Alone’ and ‘Deconstructing Obama’. Two MUST reads. If some of you don’t like Trump,...fine. But if you hate Obama and what he’s done to OUR country, read ‘Deconstructing Obama.’ You will never regret it! Doc Savage, Freeper since 1998.
agreed. I think Mr Trump has the best strategy going into the campaign season. He’s talking about the issues people care about, and bringing out other issues that no doubt people have been thinking about but are not willing to speak about out loud. I think Donald Trump is going to become a front-runner really quick. I’m not sure if I’d vote for him in the primary, but, he’s quickly showing himself to be a no nonsense conservative voice.
To say these thing about a mulatto, even if is a Marxist, cannot be eligible for the office he holds because of a Kenyan father, cannot actually prove he was born in the USA, refuses to release any personal records, appoints Communists to his cabinet, whose best friend is a known terrorist, has been "retired" from the Illinois Bar, upon the application to which he lied, has a street-drug history, and is a loony-Left MF of the first water, could be construed as "racist."
Gosh, we just can't take that chance. Best to let him continue.
I'm OK with him at the moment. I will just be shocked if the GOP base goes for a guy on his third wife.
It’s the perfectly logical so called birther question, but so much more than that.
He’s wondering WTF is going on in this joint and why isn’t anyone spitting mad about it besides him.
This country is upside down and he’s fuming. And will be a grandpa this year. Looks like he’s thrown political correctness out the window.
I think the man is completely pissed off, watching what is going on. He’s not getting any younger. And he is mad as hell.
It's only one more than Reagan.
RE: Left MF of the first water, could be construed as “racist.”
It most definitely is NOT racist.
I’m pretty sure nobody would question Herman Cain’s constitutional eligibility if he were the candidate for president.
LOL. Yeah, right.
I saw Richard Land quoted as saying that three is “one wife too many.”
look at who they’re pitting him against. no wonder!
RE: I will just be shocked if the GOP base goes for a guy on his third wife.
Well, Ronald Reagan had his second wife, So did Bob Dole, So did John McCain ... didn’t seem to have mattered.
And Rush Limbaugh has a strong GOP listenership, even though this is his fourth ( and hopefully last ) trip down the aisle.
Its really rather simple and a bit reminiscent of Regan’s campaign. Basically, Trump has distinguished himself by taking speaking plainly in words voters can understand and relate to. This is unlike the field of spongy white bread RINOs who pussy foot around issues framing them in delicate unoffensive words. It’ll be interesting to see how Trump winds up at the finish tho. I think he has to add considerably more substance before he’ll get any lasting traction...and that might be a big problem for him.
Trump is amongst the first candidates that talk about America First, something that crosses party and ideology especially amongst Main Street Americans. Problem with Dem and GOP establishment is they are beholden to internationalist economics and ideology. Dem believe in multinationalism and give up US sovereignty to get socialist agenda passed and bypassing US Constitution and pesky conservative resistance thru treaties. GOP wants free trade and open borders, they want to bypass the US Consitution and pesky conservative resistance thru treaties also. Ron Paul and Pat Buchanan has a strong support amongst Main Street Americans but vilified by establishment and MSM because they undermind multi national Wall Street and leftist internationalistic socialists ambitions. Trump’s theme is catching on amongst all Americans (conservatives are willing to overlook his nonconservative inclinations, and blue collar is willing to overlook his CEO status because when ALL working Americans (not Wall Street/banker schemers) are victimized by gov and banker scams, Americans want gov to take care of America first not neocon empire uilding and banking schemes. Freepers and liberals who scoff at Trump do it at their risk. Trump finally articulates what the average Main Street conservative and all Main Street Americans want, America First policy!!! I am very surprise that Gov Palin approached this timidly, it is a winning theme in these hard times.
No clue as to why you think Trump couldn't get elected. Step one is getting enough name recognition that people cover you. Step two is how you handle yourself after you're in the spotlight. Trump has his skeletons, and if he moves forward, he'll be attacked for both his divorces and the previous business failings, but he's been in the spotlight enough to know how to deal with it. I'm not talking about how effective he would be as president. I'm talking about his ability to get elected.
Trump is at least used to hardball. And we know Obama has more skeletons than he has vacations, golf games, and late-night ESPN sessions with Reggie Love combined.
Well, that's easy.....
Despite the talk about China and Obama, Trump is a Northeasterner whose stances will change with the political weather. I am not even convinced he's serious about running.
I wouldn't be surprised if somewhere in the middle of 2012, he changes his mind, then comes back in the fall to say he's in again.
Big money businessman decides to run, drops out, jumps back in. Same thing happened in 1992 with another wealthy, unpredictable egomaniac.
Officially speaking in politically correct DEMO-RINO-lingo, any person of color who is a Registered Republican, or a Republican Candidate for anything is a "self-loathing Uncle Tom." Ask The Rev. Al Sharpton. Or Justice Clarence Thomas.
I am predicting that the next Obama campaign will basically be all about race. 100% of the African-American vote, plus the usual other ethnic suspects, the young, and women will hand the man the big states.
?* Of course it's not racist. What's that got to do with anything? Political reality and truth are not necessarily related. If Whoopi tells The Donald it's racist, it's racist for the Obama base.
I've been wondering ever since Lindsey Graham floated the possibility of making burning the Koran illegal, if that was simply the result of him being a coward or if it was a trial balloon being run up by a paid for politician.
I have to confess that I'm not hopeful at this time. The Islamists currently control the White House and all the major news networks. Our military is no longer fighting Islamic fascists, but has moved into doing their dirty work. The revolutions in the current countries are a power consolidation and Obama is finding out which side helps Al Qaeda the most and supports them.
Jimmy Carter, McCain, and both Clintons were owned by the Muslims. Obama is a Muslim.
I always knew Graham was an unreliable POS, but now I seriously suspect he's just another PFMS (Paid For Muslim Shill.)
Quick...someone post a pic of Mr and Mrs Trump and the new baby.
....and wow does that "baby" look satisfied....LOL
Bull, it is only name it is only name id.
Most people admire those who fail and recover. Americans love success, real success from real work, not Obama style "success" as a community organizer. Trump is undeniably successful and the contrast between him and the failure, which is Obama, could not be more stark.
The more I see of Trump, the more I'm impressed with him.
Opposite of Soros agenda.
No, it is the birther issue that not only got him noticed, but made people realize that the left can’t bully Trump. The birther issue demonstrated that Trump, is a true leader, a risk taker, and who just won’t back down once he has made a decision. Republicans are hungry for that kind of leadership.
It scared me that first time that I heard Trump speak about running for president because he was saying all the right things, the things that I knew could get him elected.
Sure, that’s a big part of it.
I'm not sure I would like to see Trump as my next president, because he seems to carry a lot of unfavorable baggage with him.
But I sure hope Trump runs in the Republican primaries, because his presence in the primaries will surely make an expected boring Republican primary race into a very exciting and electrifying primary race even if he loses.
For instance, I will make an extra effort to make sure that I watch the cable political talk shows every night that Trump appears on the shows to see what politician and presidential candidate Trump is scolding that day.
Trump might not have a chance in the primaries, but the fireworks he will set off every night on the cable political talk show circuit will be worth staying up late to watch.
For instance, I bet O'Reilly and Hannity can't wait for the presidential campaign season to begin so that they can listen to Trump rant and rave about this topic and that topic as they see their ratings go through the roof.
And every time Trump brings up Obama's long form birth certificate controversy over and over during the 2012 presidential campaign, I can just see President Obama and his staff looking for a hole in the White House to crawl into.
So I say this to Trump: Rum Trump Run. And I bet Obama wets his pants every time you bring up Obama's long form birth certificate controversy.
If Trump is getting large number of votes in polls it just shows some people will fall for anything...he’s a Bloomberg republican....probably laughing at the poll numbers and is a big democrat doner..not even republican enough to be called a RINO
Right now, I don’t know whom I will vote for in the primary. Trump, however, despite his many negatives pointed out here on FR, is the man I’ll vote for in straw polls and might well contribute to. That’s because he’s the guy who’s shaking up the race and forcing the other pubbies to question the Illegal’s legitimacy in all its aspects, someting that wasn’t done to the Illegal in 2008. Nothing but good can come of that questioning.
Trump has a high profile and is reasonably articulate. Name recognition means a lot. Lee Harvey Oswald would pull votes simply because people have heard of him.

The Republican party is fast filling up with liberals like Trump, Christie, Scott Brown, etc. These people might have a chance against Obummer in a Dem primary in some states but Dumbsky would just wipe the floor with somoene like Trump in a general election.
Trump has no qualification to be president. None. I agree that celebrity matters but only if you have some credentials in the industry. Unless a candidate has led the allies to victory in Europe (or better) he’d be better served running for lesser office first and proving himself.
Trump, with his divorces and bankruptcies and his long history of pandering to liberal Dems like Pelosi, would just be a laghingstock.
But I do think that a Trump candidacy could spell the deathknell of the Republican party, and that would probably be a good thing.
