The only group that doesn't get to vote on this issue is the TEA party. We do however, get to vote every November and every spring time in primaries and local events.

Since revenue bills are supposed to originate in the House; it is almost by definition that a failure of the Senate &/or the President to agree to a House passed proposal, can not be the fault of those controlling the House! If the media would but think before they "analyze" or frame questions, this obvious fact would be the focus--not an appeal for silly conjecture.

Let's put it another way. You decide if you want to buy a product. If you go to a store, and a salesman, say named Barry Soreto--or whatever--wants to sell you a bed room suite, and you agree to buy it, but he then refuses to sell it unless you also buy a house full of furniture. What do you do? Naturally, you refuse. Now who is responsible for the sale falling through?

I am not too hopeful that the media will ever acknowledge the obvious. But maybe, just maybe, with Tea Party influence, the Republicans will someday learn how to fight the compulsion driven neurotics in an Academic/Media complex that spins every issue to suit that compulsion that drives their lunacy.
