Fresh off his interview with Donald Trump last week, Bill O'Reilly took on another controversial potential 2012 Republican candidate, Congresswoman Michele Bachmann.
O'Reilly questioned Bachmann on why she thought she was even qualified to be president or if she had the experience to run the country.
"Do you have the frame of reference to deal with complicated issues like China trade? Like Iran nuclear? Like the unintended consequences?"
According to Bachmann, her age and life experience have, in fact, prepared her for the presidency.
"I do have a broad extensive background. I'm a student of many years. I have studied a wide birth of topics. I sit currently on the intelligence committee. We deal with the classified secrets. And with the unrest that's occurring around the world. I also sit on financial services committee. But, again, I've lived life."
The most interesting part of the interview came when O'Reilly pressed Bachmann on her gaffe over the site of Lexington and Concord, which Bachmann had said, more than once, was in New Hampshire instead of Massachusetts.
At first Bachmann tried to make a joke out of O'Reilly's question, saying "I promised I would never again use Barack Obama's teleprompter." O'Reilly, however, was not satisfied with this and asked her about it again. When Bachmann tried to duck the question again by saying "it was a mistake and I don't want to throw anybody under the bus so we're going to leave it at that," O'Reilly came up with his own theory about what happened.
"Somebody wrote that. You probably didn't read over your stuff, and that's how it came out. Correct?"
Bachmann's answer:
"I'm not going to throw anybody under the bus. I take full responsibility and we're just going to move on from there."

Since he said it to a Conservative woman, she got what she deserved.
Complicated issues like the one involving his former associate producer?
O’Bloviator is a smug wazoo aperture. I have not watched him for 6 years now.
LOL BOR is a maroon.
“Can you deal with Complicated Issues?”
Hmmm...no one ever asked Mr. “O” that question?
Good grief! What’s the matter with these people? O’Reilly was on the same kick earlier this week with Brit Hume. They are absolutely disgraceful — infering that Bachmann would be unprepared to make national decisions.
The woman is a lawyer. She’s served 3 terms in Congress (that’s longer than Obama had on the national scene). Moreover, she’s raised TWENTY EIGHT children — five of her own and 23 foster kids. I submit that she has more real world experience than O’Reilly and Hume put together.
I’m thoroughly disgusted with them both. Attack her on her world view. Ask who taught her geography. Ask her views on the issues. But don’t infer that she has no relavent experience!
Bachmann was a tax attorney, ran her own business and serves on congressional committee’s.
“Can you deal with complicated issues”? was more appropriate question for a back bencher for less than 2 years in senate, a community organizer, and some one who never ran anything, not even a hot dog stand. O”Reilley should have asked that to candidate Obama during pre-election interview.
BOR still has a show?........Better than Pawn Stars?
NO....Way!
You mean like the difference between a loofah and falafel?
He never asked the kenyan if he was qualified.
I'm serious - this is how that moron Couric baited Palin, with insulting questions that should have been smacked down for being asked. The media is full of agent provocateurs that need to be called on their calculated insults, in the same way liberals need to be called out for the same thing.
And absolutely huge degredation of the country has taken place by liberals adopting moronic, foul-mouthed attitudes towards everything, like playground punks in grammer school. That behavior is the issue - not the programmed faux-political positions that they can barely bleat out between insults.
The tide needs to be turned back - Leftists programmed liberals to behave this way to destroy the level of adult conversation which would easily expose the rank stupidity of the progressive platform. And these days, everyone has liberal family members who have joyfully mimicked this thugspeak, and completely abandoned rational conversation for hysterical threats and foul language.
I'm not kidding - control the language, and you control the consensus. Leftists only push agendas that work for them, and they push this one harder than any other.
And by the way, the brutality, destruction, coarseness and sheer ugliness of the tactic is Hillary's fingerprint, FWIW.
yep.. and I’ll chime in,
Mr O’Reilly, I’ve seen the way you deal with a valid point, made by the opposing side.. you either talk over them, or you wave your hand and say “pffft..but the folks don’t care about issues like this, blah-blah-blah..”..
the man has zero intellectual ability to counter an argument. I haven’t watched him in 5 years.
Did he ever ask a man politician those questions?
(crickets)
O’Reilly is a pig.
I’m surprised he didn’t ask her what she was wearing under her suit and whether she liked loofahs or sponges.
I hate to agree with BOR on anything but I have watched Bachmann many times and I’m not really convinced that she has the knowledge, resourcefulness or the wisdom yet. She fails to impress me.

Don’t forget BOR was accused of something like 3rd degree rape by a woman and escaped via payoffs. I suspect he is a classic case of a guy who harbors a deep resentment of women and likes to verbally (and physically??) assault them, while at the same time sees himself as irresistible to women, especially beautiful women like Palin and Bachmann. He’s ethically and romantically conflicted for and against women leaving him a fractured personality.
