These are tough times for Minnesota schools.
In Lakeville, for example, the school board recently announced wrenching cuts of almost $7 million. Ninety-four teachers will lose their jobs, arts programs will suffer and a school will be closed.
There was wailing and gnashing of teeth, but the board set its jaw: There's not a dime for anything extra.
Unless you've got an ax to grind with white folks. Then the money spigots open.
The Lakeville schools are sending a delegation of teachers to the 12th annual "White Privilege Conference" at the Bloomington Sheraton from Aug. 13-16. The district is shelling out $160 a pop -- plus $125 a day for teacher subs -- for this "white guilt" festival.
Organizers say they expect attendees from a number of other Minnesota districts.
The conference is "built on the premise that the U.S. was started by white people, for white people," according to conference materials. Its mission is to get participants to confront their biases in a "journey in understanding white supremacy, whiteness, privilege, power and oppression," and to "agree to take action in [their] own circle of power."
The conference is sponsored by the Minnesota Justice Collaborative, a consortium of local higher-education and philanthropic institutions. It is expected to draw 1,500 teachers, students, activists, artists, social workers and counselors from more than 40 states. Minnesota public schools are represented on the list of speakers and workshop presenters.
What can Lakeville parents and taxpayers expect for their investment?

Liberal areas are some of the most racially segregated places in the country. The liberal whiteys, while preaching "diversity" and "tolerance" during the day, will quickly scamper back to their gated whitebread communities at night.

This is because of the Unions, which sponsors these conferences with our tax dollars.
Better yet, how about if they all pulled off a “Jim Jones” event, right there in the hotel. Now that would be something to remember them by.
I wonder what color the Bloomington Sheraton wait staff and kitchen staff is. Imagine all those liberals huffing and puffing if the food isn’t just perfect.
I wonder how many of that staff would trade places in an instant with the gentry attending, and let them do the hard work for a change while they got the pay for doing nothing.
The ridiculous bigots running the school system there should be fired. These hate mongers should be nowhere near school children.
Somebody is making a lot of money off white guilt. Just charge everyone to attend a conference where they can beat the hell out of themselves. Then give them a Certificate of Attendance” they can take back home and show all the minorities. Wish I’d thought of that!
This is a hostile propaganda technique called "jamming", attacking people who have nothing to be ashamed of, by broadcasting messages of hate and odium to them, especially about the areas in which they feel best about themselves. It's a grift, a con, and imho punishable.
In more Alinskyite terms, it's a frontal propaganda attack on The Main Enemy intended to degrade their morale and help induce feelings of helplessness and will-lessness: what the Russian Communists called novolya and identified as a strategic morale condition that they wanted to induce in target populations.
These ‘educators’ may be too dumb to prepare the chemical solution.

Well, speaking as a Jew, I’m more than a little pissed off here.
I thought OUR people were the ones with the privilege and the power. Now I see that any old slob without a lot of pigment in their skin is allowed into the evil cabal that is the worldwide Zionist conspiracy. How dare these academics appropriate the old antisemetic arguments and turn them into a “white only” enclave? I am calling now publically for whites to abandon the pretense of privilege and power and give it back to where it belongs, with the Jews. For starters, the hook-nosed merchants running the world don’t want to share their filthy shekels with some doofus named Jethro from the hills of Arkansas.
My other concern is a little more cerebral - how Jewish is that? My concern is how to define “white.” I mean it. I’ve seen some Persians and Palestinians and they look just like those fellas from Oregon or Vermont. Not all of them, of course - maybe you have some “hidden” whites hiding behind a good sun tan or a relative from southern Italy.
Close down the conference now! Save privilege for God’s chosen people!

White privileged. ROFL. What a crock. I’d like to see these teachers drive out to some of the trailer parks here and tell them how privileged they are to be white.
Don’t knock the trailerhood dude. Some of us that live in them realized it’s a FAR BETTER INVESTMENT than a house.
How? Your average property tax bill on a home in my area is 4000 a year. My lot rent and property tax bill on my home is 4000 a year. A wash.
Your average mortgage payment on a home is 1200 a month for 15-30 years. My payment was 500 a month for 2 years.
My lot rent includes water/sewer/trash. 50-100 bucks a month saved there. I do not have to carry liability insurance for anything that happens out side of my home (save my steps) as that land belongs to the park. They also have to maintain the trees.
Now.. what can I do with that extra 1200-1500 a month over the next 13 to 28 years.....
When I first moved in to the trailerhood it was because I could not get a home loan. Now, I think the underwriter shooting me down was the best thing that could have happened to me. I could be stuck with 28 years left on a note for a home that is worth about 3/4 what I paid for it had they not canned my mortgage. Honestly, since my wife lost her job, I’d probably be in foreclosure trying to find someone to buy it on a short sale.
Now I still have a home with 4 walls, albeit a little smaller in size than the house we wanted. We have single floor living and at times like this the lowest possible monthly living expenses we could have.
I actually feel privileged to live here.
Also, the value of my home has GONE UP since I bought it. almost 30%.
