I liked that too. How about first class boarding AC will be turned on. The buses can be retrofitted for $40. I also liked the end remarks about illegals being able to live in the country as long as their feet don’t touch the ground. Tooo funny.

Here's a horror story to get your mind around. Just imagine one of these 155 mph super buses on today's Interstates coupled with the bonehead drivers that currently populate them.

Now, imagine Granny Gump in her 1972 Comet puttering along in the fast lane at 55 mph and overtaken by a super bus doing 155 mph.

In Germany, on the Autobahn, slow traffic is required by law to stay in the right lane. Slow drivers in the fast lane get very expensive tickets and may have their licenses suspended or revoked.

On American Interstates, drivers wander all over the lanes, change lanes abruptly, and generally feel they are entitled to use any lane they want, when they want, without bothering to worry about other drivers. Add a 155 mph super bus to this mix? Are you serious or merely suicidal?

I don’t think you realize that the article is a joke. It is a spoof to Obama wanting high speed rail. There is no Superbus. If I’m wrong in this reply then I do apologize.

Ah, but I was answering absurdity by being absurd — sort of. Think about your trips on the Interstate and the quality of the drivers you've observed there. They run the gamut from folks who'd be at home in the Indy 500 to folks who shouldn't be trusted with a golf cart or a riding mower.

Now, into that fish pond dump the proposed [albeit fake] super bus. The vehicle is totally impractical for the most obvious of reasons — exactly why SecTrans Ray LaHood would embrace such stupidity in a NYC minute.

Never assign to malice that which can be explained by sheer incompetence.

I know what you mean about other drivers being arrogant. I have had them literally drive me out of my lane into oncoming traffic, cut me off in the quest to be first, or first to the redlight. Their sense of entitlement is astounding, and frightening. I fully understand the direction in which you were going.
