The 10 Best Conservative Replacements For Glenn Beck’s Fox News Slot
NewsReal ^ | April 11, 2011 | Megan Fox

Posted on 04/11/2011 9:08:28 AM PDT by TheHawksNest

Since the announcement that Glenn Beck is leaving Fox News, conspiracy theories abound. We may never know the whole story or the details behind the split but what we can do is wildly speculate who is going to take his place. The most important thing Fox News president Roger Ailes should keep in mind is whoever takes Beck’s time slot has to be someone who makes the Left put their full-blown moonbattery on display. It must be someone who pushes all the right buttons and enrages leftists, causing them to picket and boycott and all the other fun and hilarious things they do when confronted by conservative truth-tellers.

The thing I’ll miss most about Beck being gone is the reaction from all the statist twerps who hate him with a frenzy that can only be compared to neurotic miniature poodles who pee on the carpet when overexcited. Ailes should focus like a laser on replacing Beck with only the most hated personality he can find. Not only will it keep the ratings up, but it will provide sane people with fantastic entertainment. The following are 10 suggestions for conservative hosts sure to make the Left angrier (and funnier) than they already are.

10. We Have Lesbians Too, Only Ours Are Prettier: Meet Tammy Bruce

Nothing infuriates the Left more than a traitor, and Tammy Bruce is a pretty big traitor. Bruce is a lesbian, a former NOW chapter president, and lifelong Democrat. Then she saw the light when she realized that individuals aren’t welcome on the Left. Group-think is a requirement and Bruce isn’t a team player. She’s been one of the most popular conservative talk-show hosts and a best-selling author ever since. She loves to tweak the Left and isn’t afraid to say unpopular things.

This strikes me as a pipe dream list, but my favorite suggestion is Mark Steyn. I like the suggestion of Breitbart for the liberal heads that would explode every day, but I think even he would admit he's too scatterbrained to carry a show.

Steyn is certainly the guy I’d most like to see on television. I work and don’t listen to Rush or his fill-ins, I only know Steyn from his writing, which is brilliant.

Mark Steyn. Period.

CERTAINLY not Tammy Bruce.

Like I said, this strikes me as a pipe dream list. Sadly, Williams is probably more likely than any of these options.

Mark Steyn, absolutely. He'd be the perfect replacement for Beck. Steyn is witty, hard-hitting, and not afraid to be very politically incorrect.

If Steyn got the job, I'd actually try to figure out how to record TV shows for later viewing.

Laura Ingraham and Mark Steyn..... not at the same time but they take turns hosting it. Mark lives in rural New Hampshire so a suitable broadcast studio would have to be found near him. But I could see him broadcasting from Boston or NYC sometimes since any guests he has aren’t going to rural NH for an appearance

The rankings are WAY off, and the selections are far from perfect. Where’s Mark Levin?

Nevertheless and regardless of all competition, Mark Steyn hands down. He’s a true egghead/polymath, more than capable of beating the pseudo-intellectuals on the left in any game, great on his feet, attractive, and incredibly easy on the ears.

I only know Steyn from his writing, which is brilliant.

When you hear him, it's hard to stop laughing. He's the wittiest person I have ever heard. Just charming. His writing has more of a nasty British bite to it because you can't hear him chuckling and chortling.

No! Not Steyn! His writing is great, but when he hosts a show, he spends most of the airtime laughing uncontrollably at his own jokes. Quite irritating.

Mark Levin would be great, but he loves the bunker and wouldn’t want to be on live tv. I love Mark Steyn when he goes on about the Lone Ranger. Hilarious.

I read one of Tammy Bruce's books several years ago. Good stuff. She outlined how the Democrats were using the planned parenthood offices as campaign headquarters and stuff like that. She says that she's a lesbian because she wants to be, not because she was “born that way”. I too want to be a lesbian, but I was born cursed with a penis.

I like her but don't know that she'd be great on tv.

Well after everybody decides on a conservative replacement I would like to see at a different hour the Donal Trump Show.

And every day he deconstructs Obama all the way from his grandparents on the American side possibly selling B-29 secrets to the Russians all the way to the Kenya side about his birthplace.

I don’t believe that Beck can be replaced.

I will NEVER watch Juan Williams.... frankly, I consider him to be an AA hire and too stupid to bother listening to.

Heck, just give the time slot to Cindy Sheehan and J. Jackson. Call it the “Lib Hour”.

Perhaps we could just have a Muslim prayer hour with weekly education on Sharah law.

I like Doyle, but he’s sounding more and more like Michael Savage these days. He’s much more vitriolic about ALL Republicans than he is about almost any Democrats, except maybe Harry Reid. He absolutely deplores Fox News and anyone connected with it. I could understand that, except for the fact that I never hear Jerry tear into the likes of, say, Chris Matthews or Anderson Cooper.

It seems that Doyle’s so hellbent on separating himself from those commentators he deems to be “Republican water carriers”, that it gets harder to tell him apart from someone as insane as, oh, Keith Olbermann. Actually, come to think ot if, I’m finding even Michael Savage is less biased against conservatives these days than is Jerry Doyle...and that’s saying a lot.

Actually, he's vitriolic towards RINOs, not conservatives. He's tired of the Republican old guard playing the conservative voters of the country, and so am I.

Savage, on the other hand, has been a self-important nut since I first heard him seven years ago and has just gotten worse. I think about half the show now, from the times I've been riding with someone else listening to him, is him bragging about how he's "The only one saying any of this!!!!!"
