Limbaugh says GOP caved on budget deal

Limbaugh says GOP caved on budget deal By Daniel Strauss - 04/11/11 01:05 PM ET Rush Limbaugh said Monday that Republican leaders "caved" on the budget deal they struck with the White House on Friday night.

On his radio show, the conservative firebrand said he was less than enthusiastic about the $38.5 billion federal spending compromise.

Limbaugh said he wished the spending cuts had been larger.

"We've shown that we'll cave. We have demonstrated that we will cave if they threaten something like government shutdown," Limbaugh said.

He added that a handful of Tea Party Republican freshmen in the House he'd talked to were "devastated" by the deal. He called the Republican House leadership in the mid-1990s, led by then-House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.), "revolutionaries" for allowing a shutdown instead of conceding to a deal.

Yet Limbaugh did offer some lukewarm praise for the agreement.

"Thirty-eight billion dollars, I'm sorry I can't start throwing parties over it, but it's a first step," Limbaugh said.

"I wish it would have been $100 billion, I wish it would've been $61 billion," he said.

"The Newt bunch were revolutionaries," Limbaugh said. "The House leadership today is not revolutionaries."

Really? The Repubs got burned in the shutdown and kowtowed to Clinton in the final deal.

You be wrong, the sucking sound of the republican cave in during the dead duck has not stopped. They just got gold plated shovels to dig the hole with.

Well, if you are saying that the Lame Duck session was a disaster— I will agree with you. There was no need to get a deal done then...

The remedy: Next congressional election, all RINO’s are met with true Tea Party Conservatives. The leadership in the House MUST be replaced.

Our elected officials caved and you are worried about what Rush thinks about this piece of crap president?

No, I'm concerned that a very powerful, if not THE most powerful voice for us conservatives, who has stuck this man-child's feet in the fire continually since he got "elected." But not once, NOT EVEN ONCE, did Rush even hint that this bozo was not a citizen, something he couldn't have and should've done during the campaigns when it would've pretty well disrupted the dummycrats in a big, big way.

I sat here day after friggin' day reading what we Freepers had to say about Obambi's Kenyan birth and being amazed that NOT ONE OF THE STRONG CONSERVATIVE VOICES GAVE AS MUCH AS A PASSING HINT THAT THERE WAS A HUGE FRAUD GOING ON!

“It was a victory for Boehner and the Tea Party.”???? It started out at $100 Billion, then it went to $60 Billion and ended up at $38 Billion. Where’s the victory?

Huge fraud is exactly right. Limbaugh actually started chewing out that woman that called about the BC issue. She nailed him on hiding from it and then he turned on her.

My email to Rush was - "GOP leadership, how do you tell when they are lying? Same as Bill Clinton, when you see his lips moving."

I'm dusting off my sticker for my TV that Rush suggested we make to put on our TVs whenever Clintoon was on, "He's lying!"

You think conservatives are angry at Boehner? Try listing to Liberal Talk radio.

I’ll withhold comments on weather I think we won or lost this budget battle – but it was fun listening to Bill Press on Leftist Talk Radio this morning. As far as the Leftist are concern, Obama was the one who caved - again, like he has done on GITMO, Iraq, Bush Tax cuts, and every other promise he made to his base.
Bill Press, and nearly everyone of his callers were spitting mad that the Government wasn’t shut down, and that a deal was made. They had made all of these plans on how to use a Government shut down against the Republicans – and they see it all get blown away over the weekend. I could not believe the anger they had against Obama this morning.

Of course their anger is always short lived. Give them a week or two and Obama love fest will continue.

I would personally benefit from the extreme continuance of the debt monetization regime, though I’m not on welfare and don’t have a government job. ...no big retirement checks on the way, either.

But I’m against it. There’s only a terrible decline for our country with the political, academic, big business debt schemes from here on out. Yes, a lot of people around us deserve the financial depositions and consequences in front of them, but the political, economic way ahead is the wrong way.

As the debt game will be dragged on for a long time, imagine how angry most people will be against the who’s who of local business (e.g., real estate) and politics in the future. All eyes are on them with much sustained complaining in most small circles.

It’s essentially over. All levels of government are in de facto default.

“It was a victory for Boehner and the Tea Party. It wasn’t a great victory— but we have to deal with delusional people here.” Lysandru

Stop kidding yourself. This is what is going on:

Trent Lott on Tea Party candidates: ‘As soon as they get here, we need to co-opt them’

http://blogs.ajc.com/jay-bookman-blog/2010/07/19/trent-lott-on-tea-party-candidates-as-soon-as-they-get-here-we-need-to-co-opt-them/
12:27 pm July 19, 2010, by Jay

The money quote from a Washington Post piece on the Tea Party and Washington’s GOP establishment:

Former Senate majority leader Trent Lott (R-Miss.), now a D.C. lobbyist, warned that a robust bloc of rabble-rousers spells further Senate dysfunction. “We don’t need a lot of Jim DeMint disciples,” Lott said in an interview. “As soon as they get here, we need to co-opt them.”

But Lott said he’s not expecting a tea-party sweep. “I still have faith in the visceral judgment of the American people,” he said.

There is only one time to compromise with a dem..... when you ask, “blindfold or not”?

Our country is going to hell... I have had it with all of them.

I, like so many others, have worked my entire life to get to where I am and now these corrupt bastards are trying to take it all away and give it to the lowlifes that never bothered to EARN IT. At 62 and retired, there is no way to simply start over.

NO MORE COMPROMISES...... take these bastards out without mercy... or get the hell out of our way and let us do it the old fashion way.

Like I said, “blindfold or not”.

We don't have to wait until the next election to do this. The GOP can hold another election for their leadership at any time, I believe.

She nailed him on hiding from it and then he turned on her.

I think he was a bit embarrassed that she didn't let up and kept pounding on him . . . I know he's very proud of what he does, and I'm thrilled at his overall attitude and achievements, but he DID miss this one big time . . . and so did the rest of our conservative media . . . should've been a nightly topic on FOX-NEWS . . . This was BIG! . . . Nothing!

Hannity's kinda' winking at it now if it gets brought up . . . I think they've pretty well screen the BC issue from their phone call lineups.

“NOT ONE OF THE STRONG CONSERVATIVE VOICES GAVE AS MUCH AS A PASSING HINT THAT THERE WAS A HUGE FRAUD GOING ON!”

Because they would be preaching to the choir and at the same time open themselves up to ridicule.

What happens if by some miracle Obama actually produces a valid birth certificate? Even if it is “fake but real” the MSM will destroy Conservatives and pretty much guarantee a Democrat win in 2012. The Tea Party will be labeled extremist and people who didn’t believe that before will start to think that maybe those whacky libs were right.

What does Rush or a Hannity do now? Their credibility is shot and now the Libs will go for the Fairness Doctrine.

And they will get it.

This who BC thing is starting to unravel. People are starting to think Obama is not an American. We don’t need Rush or anyone to tell us. We already know.

THANKS for reminding people about good old Tren Lottless and his co-opt comments. These guys are sickening and since he’s a lobbyist now, as Rush always says “follow the money.” So folks what we have here is a hole in their dike and what the elitist GOP thinks is that they can hold all of the TEA (Taxed Enough Already) people at bay. NOT gong to happen, folks.

Keep up the good fight and yes we’re up against a big hurdle but we can do it, so keep the faith and keep fighting the Dem AND GOP frauds.
