One of four bodies found by Craigslist Ripper police is a CHILD

One of the latest four sets of remains found on a Long Island beach linked to the Craigslist Ripper belongs to a baby or child - and not a grown woman, it was revealed today.

The remains were found last week among four sets of bodies several miles away from where the bodies of four prostitutes were located in December.

But the victim may not be related to the other New York murders as a young person’s body ‘would not fit a serial killer’s pattern’, according to law enforcement sources.

What if some particular serial killer didn't care about their patterns?

What adds to my disgust is that I’m finding this out from Britain, not any of the local papers here. This morning though there was mention of a possible connection with four bodies of prostitutes found in a drainage ditch in Atlantic City from years ago. And they’re expanding the search a little westward along the same stretch of beach highways, from Suffolk County west across the line to Nassau County.

What about the low life New York governor Elliot Sfittzer
I know I spelled his name wrong.
It use to be Clinton and the New York prostitutes,
They all covered for him, Where is Danny boy today still in hiding?
Elliot was very much a part of the prostitution ring and so
was Governor Patterson. Elliot walks without Prison time and he is able to appoint Patterson just in case. Patterson had to keep Elliot from jail time and keep the prostitutes safe and keep their MOUTHS SHUT. Elliot of course gets a TV spot, but the threat of Elliot and Patterson being exposed is still there, SO OF COURSE THESE PROSTITUTES HAVE TO DIE.
They need to stop playing games and go right to the source of the problem. Elliot and Patterson, who is protecting them and who has been hire to kill those girls????

Later in the story it is revealed that police think the killer has “a sophisticated understanding of police investigative techniques” and “may be a cop.”

With thirty million people in the area, it’s possible that a few serial killers are using the same graveyard. Imagine the uncomfortable 3 a.m. run-ins on the beach

So, two former NYS Governors are responsible for the deaths of these girls? Uh, I don’t think girls of that type really have to advertise on Criagslist.

“What if some particular serial killer didn’t care about their patterns?”

More importantly, why are they talking about “a serial killer’s pattern”, as if there is only one? Every serial killer is an individual, and the pattern that each one follows can change frequently. What doesn’t change is the “signature” of a serial killer, but their “pattern” or M.O. can be highly flexible.

Ted Bundy preferred young women, but not pre-pubescent, but at the end of his ‘career’, he took a pre-pubescent victim, perhaps out of desperation. Zodiac changed his M.O. twice at the end of his (confirmed) ‘career’. I wonder if the press came up with this on their own, or if there really is someone this clueless in charge of the investigation.

“”a sophisticated understanding of police investigative techniques” and “may be a cop.””

There have been a few who turned out to be cops, but more often than not, they have only a tangential connection to law enforcement, or simply a personal interest in it. BTK, for example, wasn’t a real cop, but a code enforcement officer, though he reveled even in that authority. Nowadays, one could get a pretty “sophisticated” knowledge of police techniques by watching a lot of CSI and reading true crime novels, though the investigators may see something more than that.

Independent, but relevant, statistic:

The majority of kidnapped children are dead within 4 hours.
Most of the rest, within 24.

The Green River Killer wasn’t, and still managed to murder dozens over a couple decades before getting caught by a fluke.

A "buff," in other words.

The stupid ones get caught before they have enough victims to count as "serial killers".

Not true. There are a few really bright serial killers but most are average or even below.

They keep it simple, by taking victims who won’t be missed for a while, or by making an overwhelming initial attack.

Obviously this killer has a chosen victim class - I just hope the authorities aren’t falling into the mistake of limiting the suspect class.

Police Confirm New Remains Human; 10th Body Possibly Found Along Ocean Parkway

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police have confirmed that the latest set of bones found Monday morning at Jones Beach State Park are human remains. Authorities also said that a 10th set of human remains may have been discovered during their search, CBS Jennifer McLogan reported.

The bones were found 1.4 miles east of the Wantagh Parkway Tower. Investigators expanded the search into Nassau County Monday after investigators recovered eight bodies on Suffolk County beaches.

Police and sanitation vehicles blocked off all traffic on Ocean Parkway. A mobile sign advised drivers of a beach search that will shut down the Parkway all day.

About 125 searchers, some with dogs and others on horseback, hit Tobay Beach and Jones Beach State Park to scour the area for evidence.

Police were also searching a nearby 550-acre wildlife preserve and a 30-acre pond. They’re using cherry pickers supplied by the Fire Department to peer above the heavy brush to look for any evidence.

Residents near Gilgo Beach, where the search originated, were shocked by the recent gruesome discoveries.

“To find all these bodies here, we’re shocked. We’re a close community, leave our doors unlocked,” one neighbor said
