I really don't know what to say. I'm sure this is "well intentioned". I'm sure it has nothing to do with getting more criminals hired by the City of Pittsburgh.

Right?

Will rapists run transit at night?

Child molestors could run education.

Murderers could run the police.

Hmmmmm. There is city worth avoiding FOREVER.

The proposal is “not intended to mislead employers or enable ex-offenders to speak untruthfully about their pasts,” Mr. Burgess’ office said.

***

Has to get the award for the dumbest statement of the day by a politician. Just what does he think will happen when a convict is no longer required to disclose his conviction? Isn’t that misleading?

No wonder Pittsburgh is going to hell in a handbasket.

Swell idea. Let's let sex offenders work in child services. I guess I am being too harsh here. Most of PA city and state gov'ts are already populated with criminals who have just not been arrested yet.

If criminals have done their time and no one will hire them, and they can’t make any money, what do you suppose they will do?
Jail is for punishing criminals, but once they have paid their debt, they shouldn’t continue to be punished.
One last thing, sex offenders could never be a teacher or work with kids regardless because they couldn’t get a license.

Ricky probably has a son about to be released from "public housing" and wants to give the son and opportunity in city gummint.
