Tina Fey: Palin Parody May Have Hurt My Sitcom
A Political Look at Hollywood ^ | 4/05/2001 | James Hirsen

Tina Fey may have been the darling of the left for her Emmy-winning impersonations of Sarah Palin on “Saturday Night Live.” But the comedic actress-director is now expressing regrets about her Palin pokes in her new book, “Bossypants.” As a matter of fact, Fey suspects that mimicking the former Alaska governor may have hurt the ratings of her NBC sitcom, “30 Rock.” “Some may argue that exploiting Governor Palin and her family helped bring attention to my low-rated TV show,” Fey writes in an excerpt published in USA Today. “I am proud to say you are wrong. My TV show still enjoys very low ratings.” “In fact, I think the Palin stuff may have hurt the TV show. Let’s face it, between Alec Baldwin and me there is a certain fifty percent of the population who think we are pinko Commie monsters,”

Don't we all feel sorry for Tina Fey?

Next it will be Julianne Moore complaining that she is being blacklisted for portraying Palin in a new HBO film 'Game Change'.

Yeah, that's is.....the fact that it was as funny as a funeral had nothing to do with it.

Are you still going to watch “The Office” after Carell leaves?

The show’s been going down for the last 2 seasons IMO. It could go either way with him leaving, although if I was to bet, I say it gets worse.

For a while there, it seemed like the entertainment industry was throwing every imaginable award at Fey and at 30Rock. It almost seemed like they were rewarding her for doing so much malicious damage to Sarah Palin. But the industry wouldn’t do that ... would they ...?

Sarah Louise Palin

Born February 11, 1964 in Sandpoint, ID (Meets the Jus Soli Requirement)

Parents were
Charles R Heath, born in ID
Sarah Sheeran, born in WI

Both parents were US Citizens at the time of her birth (Meets the Jus Sanguinis Requirement)

Sarah Palin is a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN unlike Comrade Barry Soetoro aka Barack Hussein Obama.

It seems to me it would be cancelled. No, a replacement can’t carry Michael’s water. I am glad Kathey Bates is gone myself.

I have to admit I actually DO like that show. I have no idea how it grew on me. It is like "The Office" but I can't stand "The Office." Weird.

How can Julianne Moore play the gorgeous Sarah? She has no nose! Sarah has a nice, strong nose - and Julianne Moore has no profile because she has no nose! This is the weirdest casting.

They ARE pinko commie monsters and if you do the crime you gotta do the time, Tina! I’m not sorry for your little career blip. Tina chose the wrong boat to hitch her oar to and now is complaining. Bye-Bye, Tina.

So a sitcom tanks...
Honestly, who gives a damn?
Get over yourself...

Fey’s been milking this
Sarah Palin thing for years.
A half-rate talent.
