I love Mark Levin but he says that Trump is going for the easy, cushy interviews. He is going to be interviewed by Rush on Friday at 2:00PM. I doubt it will be.. cushy!

This can be an effective technique, called the "broken record technique", which I read about in some sales book long ago. You just keep repeating, repeating and repeating, and eventually you will get results, if for no other reason than to just shut you up.

This issue needs to be settled, one way or the other. Trump would not be my choice for president, but I certainly admire his bulldog tenacity on getting to the bottom of this issue.

Levin letting his oversized ego get the best of him again. He’s actually been praising Trump at times over the past few weeks, while whining that Trump has an open invitation to come on his show, but that he won’t.

It’s waaay too early for Levin or anyone else to be posturing and blustering with such finality about Trump or anyone other potential candidate. This little rant was nothing but a Levin ego eruption, a condition from which he suffers periodically, especially when it comes to who said what first, and who he thinks is stealing his ideas or copying what he says on his show.

Levin needs to get over this sort of thing because he usually has an excellent show.

HEY YOU BIG DOPE, WHAT HOSPITAL WAS ZERO BORN IN? COULD YOU ALSO NAME THE DOCTOR WHO DELIVERED HIM WHILE YOU ARE AT IT?

You shouldn't have to have "blind faith" when it comes to the "natural born status" of the President of the United States! It is the "non-birthers" who should be questioned for their sanity, not "birthers." Non-birthers have seen NO LEGAL EVIDENCE to support their "belief" that Obama is a "Natural Born Citizen."

If it’s found that Barry was indeed born in another country, does he honestly think Barry will be the only one affected? LOL! Who knew about it and when did they know about it? Pelosi? Reid? He's another one I can easily cross off my list. All of a sudden obama has so many "right wing" supporters. Have you all noticed that? I don't need to listen to his radio show on my commute home either. There's an option up the dial who will discuss obama's eligibility as a legitimate issue.

LOL, so true, my FRiend.

That said, I do wish some of these people, such as Levin, would realize that some people just want some procedure put in place so that these eligibility determinations are not made in secret, by political hacks, using an unknown definition of "natural born citizen" (does Nancy Pelosi really have expertise in this area?), with no mechanism for challenging the determination or remedying its violation.

If it takes pursuing birther stuff now to keep this from happening again in the future, then so be it.

This has become the ultimate "TRUST ME, I'M A POLITICIAN" issue and that is what a lot of people are reacting against. It's become about much more than showing a birth certificate.

Your poem should belong in the Poetry Hall of Fame (if there is one). The Donald is not only persistent, but in noticing from his series, The Celebrity Apprentice he does have an excellent ability to judge character. And, coming from the culture of Los Vegas, he should know about betting on a sure thing. One thing he does not do is ask a question about something he does not already know the answer.

I wonder how much The Donald knows now?

I want to see his SAT and LSAT scores. I'll bet they weren't 50% of mine. We're roughly contemporaries, so the scores are comparable.

“This birther issue gets us nowhere...by the time it gets to the Supreme court etc etc”....

Mark is right about that IF the sole political meaning of the birther movement had to do with proving that Obama is ineligible to serve and, therefore, removing him from office.

As any political analyst worth their salt should know, however, the "birther" issue is a proxy for a deep and wide, in fact, pervasive skepticism about this President's background --- to wit, his non-American mentality --- in general.

If that generalized skepticism uses the birther label to express itself, so be it. But this means that analysts are severely missing the point if they think birtherism is solely, or even primarily, about showing a birth certificate and getting Obama out of office. Nothing could be further from reality.

For many, it's about expressing the fact that they truly wonder if this dude is, culturally, an American at all (regardless of where he was born or what his citizenship is).

For others it is also appalling to discover that there is no public process for determining, challenging and remedying eligibility issues. This must be fixed.

So it really depends on what the definition of "gets us anywhere" is.

In crass political terms, of course the birther issue helps Obama's opponents, whoever they are. It intrisically blares every scrap of distrust of Obama that is out there, regardless of whether that distrust is related to a birth certificate or not. It screams out that the nation has made a huge mistake. It shouts from the mountaintops, "Who the hell is this man and how did he get to the White House?" Not just birthers are asking that question, Mark.

No serious political analyst would suggest that the fact that such questions are still asked about a sitting president --- baseless or not --- is a neutral political phenomenon.

Levin is wrong not to give some credence to the issue surrounding Obama’s BC. If Obama is an illegal alien who broke the law to become potus, that is a big deal.

Having said that, we've been here before. Another effort by some folks to promote a high profile liberal Republican. We've seen it with Schwarzenegger, Giuliani, Romney and Scott Brown. Now conservatives have to suffer through the antics of this bozo. Donald Trump is an opportunist, pandering to conservatives and lying through his teeth in the process.

I sure love hearing him attack this issue that others should be attacking too.

And I can assure you others WOULD be attacking Obama on the birther front if they thought they could get away with it. What politician wouldn't tap into a deep well of skepticism about his opponent?

But none of the GOP field are in The Donald's position. Ironically, Trump may have more of a genuine interest in the issue of any of them, even though I'm quite sure they'd be some of the first to jump on the bandwagon if they were sure they could do so and still protect their options.

Reagan was a conservative and a Republican longer then he was a Democrat. Period.

Trump has no political principles whatsoever. He was a Republican, before he became an Independent. Then he became a Democrat before he switched back to calling himself a Republican. One thing is certain, Trump has always been a liberal.
