Noon ET — Pre-race coverage on FOX has begun.
9:08 a.m. ET — It is a brisk morning in Talladega, Ala., but worry not, racing fans! Temperatures are expected to be in the 68- to 73-degree range for race time. Jeff Gordon and his Hendrick Motorsports teammates will inhabit the first two rows when the green flag drops on the Aaron’s 499 at 1:20 p.m. ET.
Hey, if ya got a race team, you MUST be a million/billionaire.
Time to pay yer “fair share.”

Party time in Alabama!
I’ve got 12 tomatoes in the ground. They’re all in sheltered places where I can throw a sheet over ‘em if I need to. got 9 others waiting. Peppers are in pots, 8 of them wintered over from last year, and I’m getting enough peppers that I’m planning meals using them for the last month. So, things are good so far.
We still don’t have an official “garden” space tilled up at this new house. I’m making do with the spots that are easily hand tillable and so far it’s okay but just not enough space. Some spots I put cukes they’re looking good but some others they came up and then disappeared. It’s going to be a challenge till we can get the “real” garden space in order again.
Gees, OT, you know I can go on and on about the plants... LOL
I'm sure it's just bruised. Had broken ribs once and had a sharp pain when I breathed. I can breathe deeply with no pain on the inside. But, got a big swole up part of side and back that's blue. It's hot, but only achy skin deep.
Yep, feels good outside. Had to go out and love on dogs a bit. She didn't mean nothin', was glad to see me and I wasn't ready. Scared her worse than it did me when I hit the ground, she ran and hid. Weather has got real nice right now. It's 77 here outside right now.
1:01 p.m. ET — Ashton Sheppard performs the national anthem.
1 p.m. ET — Mike Jackson, the director of Alabama Raceway Ministries, delivers the Invocation.
1 p.m. ET — Presentation of colors by the Alabama Army National Guard.
