Predicted Republican defections, though I believe we forgot about RINO wimp Mark Kirk.
Oh, and Mr. Pro-Life Democrat himself Bob Casey Jr. voted as I thought he would, as did the Nelson twins. Quelle surprise.
Disgusting bastards.
Washington, the patient that resists any and all treatments.
Wow, big surprise.
Yes, the GOP won most of those last elections, giving it control of 1/3rd of nonjudicial branches of government. That's it.
Even if the Senate would have passed this, Obama would have vetoed it.
Planned Parenthood kept its funding even while the GOP had both houses of Congress and the Presidency. Why? Because the GOP needs a super-majority to completely defund Planned Parenthood, or virtually any of the pet Democrat projects. That's called political realism.
Of course, political realism works both ways. The Dems had both houses and the Presidency, and yet they didn't pass a single anti-gun bill, or reverse the Partial Birth Abortion Ban. How about that?
They should have hung this thing around Zer0's neck until 2012. Instead they caved.
Who were the GOP Rats?
I apologize for such a stupid question but could someone can tell me why the GOP were so proud to force the senate to vote on these 2 topics, knowing full well that they will vote no? Yeah..stupid question...if here is a scale to judge OUR stupidity from what they think how stupid we are...boy..are we stupid!!!
5 Republican defections: Brown, Collins, Snowe, Kirk and Murkowski (thank you Alaska!). The GOP would need to replace an additional 15 Dems with conservatives (and/or replace a number of the RINOs) to have even a marginally conservative caucus and about 25 to have a solid conservative majority. That’s how far the GOP Senate caucus is from being a truly conservative caucus.
Mark Kirk is a disgrace. One of the more conservative challengers should have immediately went 3rd party, as the IL Senate primary back in 2010 was way up in February and none of the conservative challengers had a chance.
And this was a surprise to whom, Mr. Speaker?
I think the goal was to push a few “supposedly” pro life bluedogs into a vulnerable position before their next election.
Thank you :-) Not that it solves the “stupid” thing but I appreciate your help.
Can someone please tell me exactly what percentage of the federal budget goes to planned parenthood?
I’d like to know how many kids I’m killing each year. Thanks
The House should have simply forced the Senate and Goober to go along or no money at all for anything.
Collins and Snowe aren’t really Republicans. Rather, they are old biddies up to senile meanness.
Thanks for posting. This goes to show the level of work/awareness that need to be done on multiple levels. Defunding collectivist’s collectives, especially an anti-life collective should be much easier.
Lots of opportunities here.
Actually that's a very good idea. Personalize it for people.
HOORAY sten & cripplecreek!
This is how many babies YOU have helped to kill.
People might not like it but only because it forces them to think about it.
If a stalemate occurs, Planned Parenthood (and every other part of Government) shuts down, and thus, they are out of business. Unfortunately, we already KNOW Boner is afraid to let government shut down......

BUMP! BUMP! BUMP!
I have read 388 million.
LLS
Mark Kirk does not want to defund PP because he may need its services some day when his bubba puts him “in the family way.”
it supposedly costs $1000 to kill an American baby
if planned parenthood get $388m/yr ... that only covers 388,000 babies killed at most. (do they kill more? where does that funding come from?)
1.2m are killed in the US every year
basically, 1/3 of all kids aborted in the US are killed by the US taxpayer.
how exactly i’m supposed to pay taxes knowing this, is beyond me
I tells me that while they are a major player in MURDER, INC., they are not all of it.
LLS
Sorry... alomost forgot. Not paying taxes will cause you to lose everything and be put into jail. Ask Wesley Snipes. BTW, you pay with coin... who’s face appears on that coin? “Render unto Caesar, that which is Ceaser’s”.
LLS
even if the 5 RINO votes were aye, it still doesn’t get it done. So, with all that cover, not one RAT voted aye.
When did our leaders become amoral ?
that drives home the point
what if you don’t work... and don’t take any unemployment?
can’t render unto cesear what you never received
No, they do not. Funding anything takes an act of Congress. Without that act, nothing gets funded. Earlier this week, the RINO-led House voted to fund Planned Parenthood. Without that vote, Planned Parenthood would have gotten no money.
Yes, it really is that simple. It is time to call their bluff. It will be a win-win for the Conservatives. Either Obama signs a bill which excludes funding for Planned Parenthood, or Obama vetoes a bill which excludes funding for Planned Parenthood. Either way, Planned Parenthood doesn't get funded. Capisce?

Yes, they do - there is a little thing called the filibuster.
You're certainly entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts. Every year since the enactment of Title X in 1970, Planned Parenthood has received federal funds. Reagan, Bush I, the 1994-2006 House, and GW Bush ALL approved federal funds for Planned Parenthood, even in the "good" years, 2002-2006.
Have you ever thought about why they always include a "Hyde amendment" in the annual federal budget? They do it so the Title X guarantees can't be spent on abortion. It's the compromise that literally keeps the government open each year.
"Without that vote, Planned Parenthood would have gotten no money."
A vote that has happened every year, since 1970 - that vote?
"Either Obama signs a bill which excludes funding for Planned Parenthood, or Obama vetoes a bill which excludes funding for Planned Parenthood."
I must have fallen asleep for several years. The last I remember, the Senate was controlled by the Democrats. How's it going now that the GOP has control of both houses?
Obama's never going to get the opportunity to see a budget bill that doesn't include Planned Parenthood funding - not so long as the GOP doesn't have 60 reliably conservative votes in the Senate. - JUST LIKE Bush never got to see a budget bill that didn't include federal funds for planned parenthood, even with a 7-vote majority in the Senate.
It may happen some day, but this day, they're not even close. Capisce?
How can they justify voting to spend our tax dollars on such an evil organization? Not to mention the pure unconstitutionality of it. Someone’s stoking extra flames in hell for this.
So let's follow it through. Let's say the Dems filibuster a spending bill that does not include funding for Planned Parenthood. Does that mean Planned Parenthood gets funded? Of course not. It's a win-win.
Reagan, Bush I, the 1994-2006 House, and GW Bush ALL approved federal funds for Planned Parenthood, even in the "good" years, 2002-2006.
And if they hadn't approved funds, Planned Parenthood would not have received funding.Have you ever thought about why they always include a "Hyde amendment" in the annual federal budget? They do it so the Title X guarantees can't be spent on abortion.
Yet all this time, Planned Parenthood has accepted taxpayer funds to cover the fixed costs of keeping abortion clinics open. Cut funding for Planned Parenthood, and you will see a dramatic decrease in the number of abortions that Planned Parenthood performs. And then everyone will be able to calculate how many abortions over the years that the American taxpayer paid for (at the point of a gun). And that is with the Hyde Amendment.
It's the compromise that literally keeps the government open each year.
When good compromises with evil, it is only evil that can profit. Besides, taxpayer money is like crack to Democrats. Cut them off for a spell, and they will easily throw Planned Parenthood under the bus in order to get the crack coming in again.
A vote that has happened every year, since 1970 - that vote?
Yes, that's the vote I am talking about. And the vote for funding for the next five months took place this week. And with the exception of 59 House Republicans, every last remaining one voted in favor of expanding the money supply in order to fund the biggest abortion provider in the US with newly-printed money.
I must have fallen asleep for several years. The last I remember, the Senate was controlled by the Democrats. How's it going now that the GOP has control of both houses? They don't need control of both Houses. They only need control of one, which they have. Again, if the House does not fund Planned Parenthood, then Planned Parenthood doesn't get funded. Is this too simple for you?
Obama's never going to get the opportunity to see a budget bill that doesn't include Planned Parenthood funding
That is beside the point. I want to ensure that Obama never gets the opportunity to see a budget bill that does include Planned Parenthood funding. Unfortunately, House Republicans just gave him that opportunity.
Who is John Galt?
Exactly.
Amen...they have blood on their hands...
