Angry Atheist's Facebook Attack (TSA officer!)
onenewsnow.com ^ | 04/15/2011 | Charley Butts

Posted on 04/15/2011 8:03:06 AM PDT by Reddy

Ken Ham, co-founder of the Creation Museum, was recently shocked to learn that an atheist had placed pornographic images, extreme profanity and vile statements about Christianity on his Facebook page. Creation Museum spokesman Mark Looy sees the web as a wonderful tool for Christians, but he says many critics of the gospel and those who hate Christian ministries are using social networking sites like Facebook to promote their own agenda. "In this instance, we know who the person is who went to Ken Ham's Facebook page, [and] we know who his employers are," Looy reports. "The employer's code of conduct indicates what this individual did was against their policy, and I hope they'll take the appropriate action." Mark Looy (Answers in Genesis)The Patriot Update identifies the guilty party as Bob Seashols, a coordination center officer for the Transportation and Security Administration (TSA) at Richmond International Airport who is also an administrator for Atheists United's Facebook page. Looy points out that so-called "angry atheists" and other secular humanists have become much more aggressive with their attacks against ministries that proclaim the Bible, "but you'd think some modicum of decency would prevail amongst even some of the angry atheists -- [that they would] not...resort to using vial language...horrible images and ad homonym attacks [but] just present their arguments in at least a civil manner." This situation, however, provides evidence that courtesy is not always a factor.

Indeed. Who would could possibly associate vulgarity, perversion and hostility with the TSA?

Another article on the subject from The Patriot Update...
http://patriotupdate.com/articles/tsa-employee-hacks-christian-site-posts-explicit-pics

According to the article, the web attack was “retaliation”

“According to TsaGov.’s website, TSA employee Seashols is expected to demonstrate the following core competencies, among others, as a COO: “…creates a culture that fosters high standards of ethics; behaves in a fair and ethical manner toward others and demonstrates a sense of corporate responsibility and commitment to public service.””

Hmmm. Wonder if the TSA perp “retaliates” against Christians and other people of faith while doing his job? Someone wearing a cross or Star of David might be getting extra security scrutiny. Maybe more “hand swiping”??

“Vial language”? Is this article about Scientology?

AND.. “ad homonym attacks”? Are we really talking about the same thing here?

Not sure why you would focus on grammar when the article is giving you information about a TSA agent who posted porn on another person’s FB account in retaliation... for being a Christian.

The content is more important than the delivery.

I am not a Young Earth believer, but it serves no purpouse that somebody who disagrees with the Young Earth People to use these methods, and attack those who believe this.

I always thought the beginning of Genesis was a parable, but I am a believer generally, and do believe God's hand is evident all over the 13.5 billion year old universe.

I am not surprised that the troublemaker is a bureaucrat, and a TSA one at that...

Why is it, if there is no God, that atheists are so viscerally hostile to those who believe there is?

It’s because they do indeed know that there is a standard of behavior, that there is a standard Giver, that they are not living to that standard, and will indeed be judged by that standard Giver.

It’s part of our created nature to understand these things.

I thought being an American was being able to believe what you want. Want to believe the earth is flat? Sure, why not. You want to believe that God made the world and everything in it. Sure, why not. You want believe we are all one big Darwinian accident? Sure, why not.

Everyone can believe everything they want. Talk about it. Sing about it. Build museums about it.

The government should not have a say about it. Government workers should not spend time thinking or talking about it.

Freedom and liberty mean the ability to try to convince me of every idea under the sun. And my freedom and liberty should allow me to do the same or disagree with all of you—or embrace the most crazy ideas out there.

We have to kiss the ass of the islamists? Why can’t we show the same respect to everyone else.

I try to live my life that way. Why can’t everyone else.

Ken Ham must be a little slow on the uptake if he can’t figure out how to control what is posted on his own FB page. Good grief. The TSA guy is, of course, a nasty piece of work. But really. FB is not that hard to figure out and administer.

It’s because they do indeed know that there is a standard of behavior, that there is a standard Giver

No, it's because some people are arrogant bastards who have no respect for others. The most outspoken, fundamentalist types tend to be that across any ideology.

that they are not living to that standard, and will indeed be judged by that standard Giver

And their behavior is exacerbated by other arrogant bastards telling them they aren't living up to some moral standard that includes sanctioned slavery and genocide.

This kid is going to get some real mixed messages..tell mommy and daddy if anyone touches you who shouldn’t touch you “that “ way..but at the airport it is hunkydorie to be groped by a dude or dudette with gloves on..

Our grandson is now working for TSA..Wonder if I pass that tip along at check in if it will get me past without the grope sessions..Not looking forward to any travel though I do know some people who go with the flow and don’t care about the xray porno show or the gropedowns.

You can try to claim that the voices proclaiming the standard are external. The homos are currently doing that.

But it’s not. The “voice” is internal, and it wouldn’t matter if all the “arrogant bastards” in the world, and every cross torn down, and everyone was in one big ol’ kumbaya circle,

that internal voice would be telling you exactly what I posted. There is a standard, there is a standard Giver, you’re not living up to that standard, and you will be judged by that Giver.

My voice would be telling me I’m violating standards even if I restricted myself only to things sanctioned in the Bible.

We can leave the bible completely out of the argument.
There is an objective, external standard, there is a standard Giver, we violate that standard constantly, and will be held to account.

This is built into every human.

And the argument about things that are sanctioned in the biblical OT is an old and well-worn canard, but will continue to plague those who reject Who God is, because it will be impossible for them to fathom.

If you do stuff like this, you have no life. And if you get caught doing it to the point they can figure out where you work, let alone for the federal government, you’re not terribly bright.

The "giver" is the collective society. The "objective, external standard" was created by a society. That is why, for example, slavery is sanctioned. It was considered normal and moral for the society of that time.

“slavery” is not the slavery of the recent American experience.

No, the source of the standard is not collective society,
because that standard transcends societies and times.

It is internal, and changing society will not alleviate your violation of that standard (this is what the homos are trying to do, in vain).
