Palin in Madison: Veni, Vidi, Vici
Reuters ^ | Apr. 16, 2011 | Jim Pethokoukis

Posted on 04/16/2011 5:54:53 PM PDT by Al B.

Sarah Palin rides to the sound of the guns. It was a chilly, wet and blustery afternoon in Madison, Wisconsin — one more appropriate for a late-season Packers game than a springtime political rally. The stirring NFL Films theme,  “The Classic Battle,” would’ve been a more apt musical choice than Van Halen’s “Right Now” to accompany Palin as she entered the stage outside the state capital building to address thousands of Tea Party members, along with a good number of extremely hostile, expletive-hurling government union rowdies.

In the last few months, political professionals and insiders have been writing off the former Alaska governor and 2008 vice presidential candidate, convinced she won’t run for the GOP nomination in 2012 or ever. Then again, even those GOPers who are running can hardly compete with the MSM’s weird, all-consuming fascination with The Donald.

But all it took was one powerful, pugnacious and presidential speech — just 15 minutes long — for Palin to again make herself completely relevant to the current political and policy battles raging across America.

She waded forcefully into the state’s white-hot battle over government union power, giving her full-throated support to Gov. Scott Walker: “These are the front lines in the battle of the future for our country. A pension is a promise that must be kept. Scott Walker understands this. He understands that states must be solvent to keep their promises. He’s not trying to hurt union members. Hey folks, he’s trying to save your jobs.”

Sarah Palin rides to the sound of the guns.

That pretty much sums her up in my book and make her a leader

Yes, she's back. Back from the last character assassination and "blood libel".

Her speech was magnificent and stirring. The woman is absolutely fearless...and, given the non-stop bad press and character assaults from both the GOP and the Democrat parties...the most persistently pugnacious representative of Liberty in the country today.

Again, her timing is perfect. Trump has opened a deep wound at the White House and there is blood in the water. A very large number of people are beginning to ask "why doesn't he just show it"...and worse, they're wondering if he's one of us.

And Palin is in that groove in a more sophisticated way by questioning Obama's ACTIONS IN OFFICE that seem to give credence to the Trump meme. Kowtowing to foreigners...praising other governments for drilling while condemning our own energy companies...apologizing for America. Turning his back on our historical allies.

Yes, this is a FORMIDABLE one-two punch that has Obama on the ropes.

The leftist spin machine will have all hands on deck tomorrow...and they'll look scared.

Hard to believe that I'm actually reading this in Reuters:

"...all it took was one powerful, pugnacious and presidential speech — just 15 minutes long — for Palin to again make herself completely relevant to the current political and policy battles raging across America."

People have been writing Sarah off, because she stepped out of the media spotlight for a few weeks, but I knew that all she'd have to do, is get up and give a rousing speech like this, and she'd shoot straight back to the top.

Leftists, RINO talking heads, and PDSers have all been gleefully writing her epitaph, and they were all ground to hamburger in 15 short minutes by the force of nature we call Sarah. LOL

"Game On!"

She needs to get out of the GOP.

Haven't you heard? We're kicking the RINOs out of the GOP, and Sarah's leading the charge.

Just so everyone knows, it was brutal down here too in Lexington, Kentucky, for the Bluegrass Stakes today: cold, windy rainy.

Yeah, I checked the byline three times and kept seeing “Reuters” before the author’s name.
It doesn’t make sense.

Could you imagine?

No, I can't. Trump's ego would never let him take second place.

I was wondering the very same thing. Was a wonderful article, I must say.

In a somewhat related note, I watched Heraldo of all people tonight, John Fund said he see`s no evidence at all that Sarah is running, and a bald guy with a ear ring says she was hurt by the Giffords shooting???

Heraldo tried to suggest that Michelle Bachmann is now more liked by Tea Party folks than Sarah is. The bald guy with the ear ring says he agreed basically.

These people are going to look so foolish!!! I guess John Fund is not a very bright man, I was once a fan of his.

For sure not a fan of Heraldo, was just tuning in to see what the coverage was.

I had never seen his name either. But you can bet I will be watching for it on the Reuter’s tag. My gosh. Is this a first? I cannot believe this-he even mentions right off about the dirty words used by some of the union attendees.

PALIN = WIN!

Her (married) name isn't Greek, but as it so happens, in Greek it means "again" (first half of "palindrome", = "run again, repeat the course") ...... it's what happy Greek audiences used to call out after a good performance: "Euge babai', palin, palin!!"

No, they've been writing Sarah off and shutting her out of the spotlight, because they're RiNO's and 'Rats with nothing to offer but more of the same insider politics and games, and they desperately need Sarah to disappear, permanently, from 2012 politics.

My PDS Audiometer will be all tuned up to measure the volume of the PDS 'Rat-squeak on Monday, to gauge whether I'm right, and the Leftstream Media and RiNOsceroid Commentariat really are trying a round of "Let's Not Let Sarah Play".

I'm hoping for a deafening Jurassic scream of rage.

Right on the money, Len. Sarah is indeed The Sum of All Fears to the enemies of liberty. Unfortunately for them, she's much too powerful to shut out, or shut down. If she decides that it's time for her to sound the charge, it's all over for them, and they know it.
