LOS ANGELES A Southern California Republican Party official was under fire Saturday after allegations she sent an email that included an altered photo depicting President Barack Obama as an ape.
An e-mail reportedly sent by party central committee member Marilyn Davenport shows an image, posed like a family portrait, of chimpanzee parents and child, with Obama's face artificially superimposed on the child. Text beneath the photo reads, "Now you know why no birth certificate."
Davenport, when reached by The Associated Press, said she would provide a written statement with her response, but several hours later she had not issued one.

I had that one come thru........too bad i erased it...
"an altered photo"
Alleged story about an alleged email allegedly sent by a Republican... At the top of the ASSOCIATED PRESS wire, naturally.
I do not find the email she sent as offensive as the stuff Barky regularly says.
We had a Democrat state legislator in Penna. express her desire to kill a Republican colleague. Where's the ire and outrage on that?
Sadly for the race-baiters, 0bama ISN’T BLACK.
He’s 50% white, 46% arab.
First, they’ve gotta locate a REAL black man, THEN somebody needs to send out a “racist” email, THEN maybe there’s a story.
Let Reverend Manning explain: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tl8M_A1ulnk
It’s an insult to apes.
Meanwhile, we are expected to regard Muhammad Ali, who called Joe Frazier a gorilla and an ape, as a great man.
>>>But the cartoon about Condi is OK though, right?<<<
Not to mention the literal hundreds of political cartoons in which George Bush was lampooned with the protruding snout of a chimpanzee.
On the other hand, if you want a vignette about what life is like living under dictatorship, this incident provides a small taste.
I saw lots of photo shopped images of G.W. Bush as a chimp.
It is completely true. Just google the woman’s name and see all
of her quotes. She is wrong: and has caused damage.
He married an orangutan, though...
I thought the Dems were pretty much behind the idea that the only correct way to depict the President was as an ape ~ so why do they all of a sudden decide they are offended by that?
We would be far better off with a real monkey in the White House.
They (the Press) will no doubt play it as a racist slur.
LOL! You’ll have to admit, that is a clever reason. :)
This is OK too...
But it's probably hitting a bit too close to home for the libs when 0 is depicted a a monkey.
"Shoe fits..." that kinda stuff, you know.
An official member of the Republican and Tea party should have more sense than send this around.
The democrats have their idiots, we have ours.
Davenport has already gone on record as supporting another local pol who said not to plant grass near the beach, "it attracts Mexicans".
The photo and Davenport are not defensible.
Hes 50% white, 46% arab.
Back in olden times, it was common to consider any person with ANY percentage of black blood in him to be fully black.
And that was racist.
Now, in our enlightened post-racial world, this person calling himself "Obama", who has a small percentage of black blood in him, is considered to be fully black.
And that is NOT racist.
I agree that is not right, they have his ears too small.
Far too kind a depiction for that fake, steaming pile in the white house. Never mind the Curious George depictions, of course he lacked a race card to be played daily.
“OC Republican allegedly sent offensive Obama email”
At this point in time who hasn’t?
I guess there's a different standard for the annointed one.
Now jokes are bad too? But the libbies can say and do anything and it will be considered legitimate.
I see ...
That cartoon in not nearly as offensive as the offensive reality that obama pulls daily.
Very offensive move by Ms. Davenport - I bet a lot of apes are highly insulted!!!
I thought the ears were right on. :-P
Here’s a link to the local CBS news station - they came to the big local Tea Party event at my friend Kevin McGary’s house in NoCal. I was talking with Kevin as the reporter asked for the interview - he and Bridget Bell Melson (who’s run the Pleasanton Tea Party since its inception) are featured in the video piece. Kevin also happens to be black, something that surprised the reporter, given the conservative nature of the group. He’s also very involved in the Frederick Douglass Society, and is working to bring the message of conservatism and self-determination to the inner city. He’s one of the real good guys:
Oh, those cartoons of Condi were AWFUL. No one on the left or in the media (but I repeat myself) said anything. And I couldn’t go through a day without seeing some photographic mashup of W and a monkey.
Reason, respect and reciprocity mean nothing to the extreme left.
And Obama offends me. Not because of race, ethnicity, or any of that. Because of his anti-liberty, Marxist views, which he’s imposing on us and the rest of the freedom-seeking world.
Well, they are still going APESH*T in California. I stirred the Maggot Nest some last nite, and I am just going to stir it some more today. I just sent them this:
OH, I can not believe all the WAILING and CATERWAULING going on over some stupid Obama Monkey Pictures!!! OH TEE HEE!
I thought all you TWITZ had finally vented your spleens last nite, but you are still going at it!!!
So Let Me Repeat:

This is an amazing mountain they have made out of a molehill!!!
I think the photoshop actually flatters that part white, part who knows what freak.
Post of the day!
Since most liberals believe we all come from monkeys anyhow, why is this offensive?
What the heck are the dems fussing about? When Thomas Jefferson was President, he was attacked bitterly by the press. He was asked why he didn’t fight back. He responded, “I love the sound of democracy.” I guess the democrats don’t love the sound (or look) of freedom of speech.
