The state's top election watchdog agency has satisfied itself that results certified by Waukesha County Clerk Kathy Nickolaus for the April 5 election are consistent with totals reported by municipalities, though "a few anomalies" were found in a four-day investigation.

In a statement released Tuesday, the Government Accountability Board staff said, "After completing the review of the election materials from Waukesha County, there were some discrepancies found in the Government Accountability Board's evaluation of the Waukesha County election returns that could not be explained based upon the documentation reviewed."

They amounted to only a handful of votes.

The union will not desire to toss money away at this point. Based on this election...they will quiet down for the next twelve months and prepare for the November 2012 election.

The unions won't have to pay a dime for a recount, Kloppenburg is legally entitled to one because of the vote margin. She has until 5 pm tomorrow to request one at taxpayer expense.

Can you imagine the outcry if a Republican had a 204 vote lead in an election, claimed victory, but then saw the results overturned by late counted or recounted votes???? The liberals would be all over them for premature victory statements. In this case, all we hear is silence from the liberals, and no acknowledgement that their candidate claimed victory in error.

If she doesn’t concede by 5PM tomorow, and demands a state paid recount, then Prosser should immediately come out and CLAIM victory.

No, with the larger vote margin now, not the original one of only a couple of hundred votes, she will have to pay to have a recount, not the taxpayers.

No, she is legally entitled to a government paid recount if she asks for one. She has until tomorrow at 5pm to do so.

Works for me! Prosser suggested that a recount was a waste of taxpayer money.

Nope, the came up with an extra 200 Kloppenburg votes that put her with in the .5% margin of victory for a taxpayer funded recount.

April 16, 2011: The margin - 0.488% - is within the 0.5% limit that would allow Kloppenburg to request a statewide recount at taxpayers' expense.

If it were possible to eliminate all fraudulent votes and electioneering in this election, Prosser would be up by at least 50k.

Watch us here in WI, we’re paving the way. One battle at a time. The libs are desperate, and they’re throwing the kitchen sink at us. They are out of options. They’re resorting to smacking shovels together at the tea party.
