Oklahoma set to repeal collective bargaining law

The Republican-controlled Oklahoma Senate dealt organized labor another defeat on Tuesday when it voted to repeal a collective bargaining law.

The 29-19 vote means that some of the state's fastest-growing cities no longer will be required to collectively bargain with sanitation workers and other non-uniformed workers.

The measure already passed the Oklahoma House and now goes to Governor Mary Fallin, a Republican, who is expected to sign it into law.

why didn’t the 14 yr old return fire?

My 14 year old daughter would’ve done so and really well, too!
(NDAI)
And that overpaid, overbearing,know-nothing, unionized pig would most likely do a number 1 or a number 2 in his pants, right there in public.

And everyone would see what a big baby the bully is...and there’d be a multiple domino effect...

but I don’t have any kids because I knew I’d be 2bizzy with other matters.

I agree. Just think what would happen if employers weren’t the tax collectors for the government.

Perhaps you don’t realize the crowd of the unionistas. Nonetheless, this girl didn’t need to have the f bomb thrown at her this way.

I don’t think you realize what was going on there.

I can’t find the audio of the noise. It was amazing. They had cans of coins, a lady had to go to emergency because someone shouted in her ear with a bull horn. You can’t imagine that noise there. They had shovels clanging together. If you can get your hands on an audio, please, send it to me.

This girl was more than brave. The libs booed the National Anthem. It’s all recorded. I’m dumb with finding it on the internet.

Did you know the libs booed the national anthem? And they were vocal. I’m sure you can youtube that.

These signs and symbols are all over the tea party rallies from the unionistas.

It's a threatening symbol and has little to nothing to do with "worker solidarity", IMO.

The real message of the sign is "mess with unions and you'll get one of these square in your face".

That said, good for OK.

“The Republican-controlled Oklahoma Senate dealt organized labor another defeat on Tuesday when it voted to repeal a collective bargaining law. “

Good for them!

Republicans are fixing things state-by-state issue-by-issue... a long fight, but it’s good to see our side make gains.

In the end what is the difference if you allow police/fire to have this ability? I grant that their jobs are different and require more talent, fortitude and courage. With that said if you give them union rights they’ll eventually rule over you.

I was taking a nap earlier today and woke up to hear on the radio that Chicago just passed a law, making it illegal for any future politician (in Chicago)to mess with organized labor or bid out jobs to non-union companies. I was half asleep, so did not get the full details. I did a quick search and found nothing on it, so was wondering if I was having another nightmare or has anyone else heard this?

And, was wondering, how can you pass a law, making it so future laws cannot be passed. This does not seem possible, and if it is possible, it is just wrong.

I mean, if this is the way it is going to be, conservatives need to start doing the same thing when they get in power, ie, start making laws, that prohibit making or changing future laws.
