When I was in the 1st grade I was being bullied by some kid while waiting for the school bus, nearly every day.

My mom found out about it and told me all about bullies and their character.

The next morning she walked me to the bus stop and then she left.

Sure enough the kid started in on me again, pushing and shoving me.

I hit him as hard I could and I recall his reply being something like “You didn’t need to hit me”

With response being “Leave me alone”.

Never had a problem with him again.

I have had other bullies in my life with two who physically attacked me. I ended their aggression right then and there.

Never had a problem with them again either.

You can Live your life as the gazelle or you can live as a lion. Your choice.

While screaming like that definitely shows something wrong, I’ve never seen anybody on this website NOT say that the way to deal with bullies is to do it the old fashioned way.

I've said it many times. There is a myth that all, or even the majority of bullies are soft inside and will crinkle if ever struck back. Sad truth is that too many are powerful sadists that get their jollies picking on those who are weaker.

I've posted it before, but I'll post it again for your benefit. I remember a kid at school who's father told him how to deal with a bully. They carried him away, moaning, barely conscious with most of his lip literally torn off from repeated blows. He was honestly never the same, physically or emotionally.

Sounds like the father had read ‘Ender’s Game’ recently.

Things went better for Ender. In real life, as per my example, it’s too often the bully that wins.

As an aside I thought Ender’s Game came it in the 90’s, but just looking it up, this was still a good 7 or 8 years before the book. I’m getting old.
