It may be hard getting a job in today's labor market, but Workforce Central Florida is prepared to give you a cape a shiny, red cape.
At least while supplies last.
The region's federally funded jobs agency is spending more than $73,000 on a media campaign to raise awareness of its services.

RAISE THE DEBT CEILING! We MUST borrow more to fund essential government programs!

Are these capes taking money away from Cowboy Poetry???

Was listening to Quinn in the Morning - he thinks this sounds like organizing the unemployed ala Frances Fox Piven.

So now those who do not have a job can be marked! Will it become mandatory in the future for the unemployed to walk around with a red cape affixed around your neck?

sounds like something Debbie Wasserman Schultz would organize, but I don’t think it’s her District.

In "V for Vendetta" the socialist revolution began after everyone got a Guy Fawkes mask.

Amazing. Do they give flying lessons? Everyone rush dow and pay your taxes. If the organizer is not fired right away all hope is lost. The person is unemployable. where could such thinking come from?

My son wore a Superman costume one year for Halloween one year.
It had a tag on it that stated:
“WARNING!! Cape does not enable wearer to fly”
I wonder if these capes have such a disclaimer.

I read this story yesterday afternoon and couldn't decide whether to laugh or cry - so I did both simultaneously. How in hell's bathroom did some liberal kook come up with this stupid idea? Superheroes against unemployment: yup, all it takes is a cape. This moron must have been one of the stupid little neighborhood brats that broke their arm as a kid by jumping out of a tree with mom's kitchen towel draped over their back like a cape. Now, since they can blow other people's money, they wanted the real thing, damn it!

Let them eat capes.....errr, or something like that.
Whoever came up with this idea (and you can be sure it wasn’t just one person) should be canned. Tuit suite.
Send a message for once.

This is almost as bad as the program to teach African Males in Africca how to wash their genitals.

Why are the capes Red? Hmmm?

How about a cardboard cutout of Mr. Evil Minimum Wage man? Maybe he could even holding hands with the ever-supportive Mr. Labor Union man.

How about giving me a 75k Grant. I have even better ideas than Superman Capes. How about Castro Masks? Maybe even Lenin T-Shirts.

it’s a bird.....it’s a plane....it’s SLOTHMAN!
Yes, Slothman. Strange visitor from another economic system,
who came to America with demands and petulance far beyond those of mortal men. Slothman, who can change the course of a mighty economy, hustle food stamps with his bare hands, and who, disguised as Chex Casher, harsh-mannered Obama voter, fights a never ending battle for welfare, freebies, and the Soviet Way!
To: CharlesThe Hammer
government agencies have to spend what they get to justify getting more next time.
It’s not their money, so they don’t care.
