Skip to comments.CONFIRMED: CBS Editors Refuse To Release Full Audio Of Obama Hot Mic Recording !

Last weekend, His Presidency Barack Obama was captured making potentially offensive comments to a group of big money donors who had paid large sums of money for special access to His Presidency.
We observed that CBS only released selectively edited moments from the raw tape. We know how much the mainstream media values complete and full disclosure of recordings of this nature, so we found it curious, to say the least, that there was not one drop of intellectual curiosity from these guardians of media purity regarding the content of the full recording.
Maybe CBSs motive has nothing to do with protecting His Presidency from potential embarrassment. Perhaps, like Nixon before them, CBS accidentally erased the portions of the recording that they have not released. Anything is possible, right?
Alas, no. John Romano, Publisher of the blog Yes, But, However! has confirmed with CBSs Mark Knoller (via Twitter) that CBS has decided that they are not going to release the complete recording.

I would not mind this move by CBS...except that I know that Bush ‘43 or any other Republican would not have been accorded the same courtesy.
Why are they still allowed to broadcast over the PUBLIC AIRWAVES?? seems to me their license should have been denied years ago, after all, can Anybody say with a straight face that they are “Serving the public good” as REQUIRED UNDER THEIR FCC LICENSE??
Check out the major stock holders in CBS, NYTimes....see what names pop up...
Can you just IMAGINE the faked outrage from cBS if this had been a tape of BUSH, or Reagan?
They’d be licking their lips in sheer joy, reporting on it HOURLY.
Under Obama, they selectively release bits, and won’t release the whole.
Why anyone would watch our Pravda media is beyond me.
if they had any credibility left this move would certainly blow it to hell (remember when that open mic caught George W calling that reporter from the NY Slimes an A-hole? Couldn’t wait to replay that over and over and over and....)
¨...And that´s the way it is....¨
Just another example of who these people are...”JournoLists”
selectively edited moments.Par for the media to cover for one of it’s own.
From the article: People can speculate as to what their motive is, but we suspect that they do not want to jeopardize their White House access leading into campaign season by being the ones to release the audio of His Presidency referring to Americans as slugs.
I don’t know why they would fret about acess to the White House leading into campaign all they have to do is ues his old speeches he’s just repeating them nothing new.
I bet the media is in tne he’s not as bad as Jimmy Carter mode before he loses the election.
selectively edited moments”
I don’t see a problem here.
CBS always “selectively edits.”
Just ask Sarah Palin, George Bush, Cheney, Tea Partiers . . .
True CBS sucks.
Don’t worry, this idiot can’t help but be himself and will make some MAJOR mistakes between now and election time...count on it...

Need a, Slugs against Obama T shirt
That's not entirely true. Reagan's joke was during the microphone sound check, which by mutual agreement had always been off the record. By reporting the joke as a newsworthy comment, the drive-by media chose to throw out the relationship it had always enjoyed with the presidency, but the joke did not cause any noticeable controversy anc certainly not anything that lasted for weeks. There were some brief complaints from the most radical leftist peaceniks and some obligatory protests from the Soviet diplomatic corps, but it hardly rose to anything even close to howling and shreiking. In the end, the drive-by media looked foolish for reporting an off-the-record mic check.
Are you kidding me? I was with a foreign affairs agency at the time. The pin stripe suits and talking heads inside the D.C. beltway went nuts.
Well maybe inside the beltway it was a big deal, but outside the beltway, the story pretty quickly became how the lamestream media had stepped on its own collective d**k by publicizing the off-the-record mic check and looked like fools. Within less than a week, nobody outside the beltway was talking about it, and if they were they were not directing criticism toward Reagan over it.
Sounds like the folks inside the beltway need to spend more time in the real world outside the beltway to have a clue about what’s really going on.
Two months before the 2000 election, CBS had no problem at all releasing the full recording of an open mike recording of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. Yet with Obama, the rules change. Go figure.
