Posted on 04/21/2011 3:34:22 AM PDT by rawhide
This is the terrifying moment two armed robbers stormed a Florida internet cafe, in a dramatic shoot-out which left one man dead.
Chilling footage shows the men, dressed in dark clothing and bandannas, charge into the store before being confronted by a security guard.
Customers can be seen hiding under their chairs and computer screens as bullets rip through the store.
The security guard then shoots down one of the robbers, 21-year-old Gary Bryant, who crawls away from the store to a getaway car before being dumped by his accomplices in a nearby parking lot.
Bryant later died in hospital after being picked up by police.

Sadly, one down, and 499,999 to go.
Okay. Is it me, or does anyone think it is bizarre to have a security guard at an “Internet Cafe”?
Could be the neighborhood, I know, but...still.
there’s enough ammo
what were the robbers trying to take? They just waltz in and waltz out. Didn’t they know there was a guard there before they tried to rob the place? The guard was lucky I suppose. The robbers could’ve shot him while he was reaching for his gun
The video made my day, brought a smile to my face. You have to also love the loyalty of his friends when they dumped him in a parking lot to die, priceless!
Shot in the back eh? What a hero.
Who says there is no good news in the papers these days. If every crime ended this way crime levels would drop to zero in no time at all.
I really don't think I'd like to live in a country that needs an armed guard in an Internet Cafe.
Well done ! The dead man is certainly no loss to society. We are spared the cost of a trial complete with a "public" defender demanding this perp's rights. We are spared years of expense keeping this man in prison. It is a shame that the others escaped unharmed. Two more well placed rounds and the whole problem would have been solved at NO EXPENSE to the tax payer.
Another one of those nothing good ever happens after midnight things...
Odd how this was all caught on microphones. Usually its only the video not video with synced audio. And someone spliced the two feeds together in this video and uploaded it rather quickly.
I think the dumped guy was the equivalent of Ensign Ricky...
If you think that comment is interesting click on the video about the riot/shooting in the East St Louis club. wow a whole new language
They were planning on doing a “Pulp Fiction”. You can just hear the clever conversation? “Bro...nobody ever does Internet Cafes. All those dopes there with all their money, gambling on the Internet...we just walk in...”
Great planning. They even had plastic bags for the people to put their wallets in.
note how fast they run as soon as they realize the guard is armed.
Perhaps he didn't want to be called a litterbug?
His injuries did not seem that severe, thought admittedly it’s hard to tell from here. I suspect that if he had been attended to promptly, he would be alive today. A little basic first aide and evacuation to the hospital probably would have saved his life. These jamokes are idiots.
Animals. Bloody animals. Note the lyrics of the rap as the video starts...sounded like “white guys” and “back of the head”.
Nah. Rap and Hip Hop are fun and safe.
With ‘homies’ like that, who need emenies?
Yes. They just dumped the guy there to die. Not that I have any sympathy for him. Hard but true, but...that is the honor in the hood, right? Hang out with those guys, soon enough, you are the one being dumped on the roadside as “your peeps” speed away to save their own skin.
“Dude, you be bleedin’ all over my ride, get you ass outta here.”
I think they never really thought it through. They dumped him assuming that the magic ambulance fairy would patch him up and send him home. These are guys who have never really had to do anything, take any initiative or responsibility. They have been derived of maturity and the opportunity to grow up by the welfare state that turns them out onto the street at age 18 as feral animals.
Where they get their “Black Pride” from I have no idea!
I went on a day trip to New York City a few years ago. Every single store had security guards. I don't recall if the restaurant we stopped at for lunch had them. I guess it's necessary to have them in some areas.
Yes. The way I had it described to me recently for a nearby shop was that they charge $6/hr for access. For that they are auto-entered into numerous jackpot drawings and can ‘do whatever’ during their internet usage. There are links provided for online gambling sites and that’s what most people go there for because the chance of gambling + the jackpot is better odds than playing at home.
From what I’ve heared one nearby establishment grosses over 25k a week.
They are outlawed in Pinellas county.
The police should stake out his funeral. These idiots are stupid enough to go there for the drinking at the repast.
I wonder if those aren’t just video poker games. I can’t imagine those women going in there just to Twitter. For some reason, they cut off the audio when the guy first got shot. By reading his lips, it appears he said, “Oooch, that smarts!”
After watching people trying to rob them, you still think it is a bizarre idea?
“I went on a day trip to New York City a few years ago. Every single store had security guards. I don’t recall if the restaurant we stopped at for lunch had them.”
“An armed society is a polite society”. States which deprive the citizens their 2nd Amendment rights have to provide protection from criminals because only the anointed and criminals have arms.
You guys....These criminals are my friends brothers. when he saw these comments it really hurt him. you don't know what they're going through. Just lay off.

Aaawwwwww! He was hurt because people called his brothers scumbags who deserved to die.
Hmm, sounds a bit like the "video poker" business that was all over Louisiana years before the casinos finally got a foothold in New Orleans. Certain "connected" people got the licenses for those machines and usually placed them in bars that were well guarded (because of the cash flow). In this case, the money is separated from the "gaming equipment", but it is there on-site just the same.
I would say fair shooting. I wish he could have dropped all of them.
Anyways, as expected, Eric Holder's people:
Fantastic news! I’m just sorry that the other criminals weren’t killed during the robbery. Now our beyond pathetic criminal injustice system will have to deal with the other sub-humans. The sub-humans when caught will be given free morally challenged “lawyers” (public defenders) at our expense who will try to get the criminals set free so they can prey on other innocent people, and if relevant evidence is not thrown out by the court because of the insane “exclusionary rule” they will be sent to prison at our expense for much less time than they deserve.
“what were the robbers trying to take?”
wondering that too...it’s not like you would have a lot of cash on hand and it looks like a ‘no frills’ cafe...
maybe they were going to rob each person; it looked like he had a bag with him-the guy that got shot.
Different world, I guess.
Internet cafes I have seen were fairly quiet places, stiflingly boring to the point I would rather forgo the Internet than to frequent them.
But since you put it that way...I suppose not.
Thing is, if those guys who dumped him read your post, they would likely think it was hilarious.
It's Mr. Microphone!
I have avoided NYC for my entire life, with the exception of landing there or driving through.
I took my wife there for her birthday, theater, the whole nine yards.
I loved it, because I was there with her, and it was all for her, what she wanted. But I really detest that place. It was filthy, dirty, smelly, beggarly, the cab driver got pulled over and ticketed on three of first four cabs we took (!!!!) and there was this sign across from the USS Intrepid that summed it up for me:
I'll go to a city like that because I love my wife. But that is it.
One for the good guys ... it’s a beautiful (and necessary) thing.
Wow. I grew up in New York City in the 50’s and 60’s. In the 1950’s there were about 50 homicides a year, one a week and there had not been a homicide on the subways in 25 years. You could safely walk through almost any neighborhood at night. I left at the height of the Dinkins terror, when the homocide rate approached 2,000/year, six a day, more on Saturday.
Back in the day, I doubt there was much visible security even at Tiffany’s, much less at a discount store. Think “Miracle on 34th Street” to get a flavor of what life was like then. Think, “Fort Apache, the Bronx” for now.
Two things killed New York City: welfare migration from the South and unchecked third world immigration in the last couple of decades.
I notice that chairs seem to be a preferred weapon amongst these animals. I don't quite understand why I didn't see any bodies or blood though.
