PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti Michel Martelly, a popular singer known by the stage name "Sweet Micky," was officially declared the next president of this earthquake-devastated country, election officials said.

Well now...isn’t THIS just what that poor, devastated island needed...
I think that is a step up from community organizer.
Sweet Micky....Come on down....you are the next to play “Lets Go Loot Haiti”
What an absolute latrine pit of a country Haiti is....and that was before the earthquake.
I think it would be difficult for Haiti to do any worse.
My parish has a sister parish in Haiti...we help them..and get regular reports of what's going on..it is truly despicable....
No matter how horrible, corrupt, evil, and pathological this “Sweet Mickey” is, he’ll still be far better than anything that revolting, festering, sewer of a country deserves.
16 months later and they’re still wandering around in the rubble, sleeping under tarps, waiting for “someone else” to come, clean it up and “give” them a new home.
Animals.
Probably the most qualified guy to sit in the seat for the past 65 years.
I wish our President was an entrepreneur who hated Aristide. We'd be in much better shape.
Let’s face it, he can’t be any worse than what’s come before — for the past 50 years.
This is the land of Poppa Doc. Only Now they gotta' Doc a'Pop!
Is there anything left there to loot and misappropriate?
Do the land, the people or Haitian resources yet possess enough allure for even the most desperate and rapacious criminal?
Can these people demonstrate a more ill-considered or reckless disregard for themselves?
We should be so lucky! Let’s see: Brbra, John Travolta, Cher, Fabio, oh, so many to choose from!
Well...
At least, they know who their president is.
(I know that's incorrect English, but, I don't care.)
Isn’t Bill Clinton Ambassador to Haiti? Fits his style.
What did the Haitians do to deserve a better President than the one we got?
yeah, keep sending them money. Almost as bad a DC.
At least before the earthquake the sheets of rusty, corrugated metal were leaning against eachother in a somewhat upright manner creating a fine lean-to type shelter for a large family.
Since the earthquake, no one has come to lean the sheets against one another again and the family has to sleep in the rain...
Like the animals they are.
What ya think?
A local church here is sending members to help build housing, any words of wisdom?
