As much as I despise what he did to his family, his community and the country as a whole...I wish him no ill will.
He WILL have to accept responsibility for his transgressions and hopefully in the process become truly repentant and ask forgiveness from all the above and God.
From that, my wish would be for him to serve his time and live a quiet life and become a positive influence.

No sympathy from me either but I would like to see him do his time for the crimes he has committed, have a personal encounter with Jesus Christ and spend the remainder of his life living for Him.

Amazing that he was considered a viable Presidential candidate as recently as 2008. The media KNEW about his affair and covered it up.
The Rat-bastard who was political editor for Mad's sister Warner publication "Time Magazine" defended his blackout on this scandal while at the same time trumping up reports that McCain had an affair with a lobbyist.
They kept Edwards viable so that he could keep Hillary in a 3 way race for delegates, rather than going one on one against Obama.
The media also ran their own "eligibility" smear against McCain in 2008.
America's mainstream media is 100% in the tank for the DNC machine. Even at Newscorp, their executives endorsed Kerry in 2004.

Amazing that he was considered a viable Presidential candidate as recently as 2008. Also remember that his wife knew of his affairs and kept quiet about it during the campaign. Even when he was caught, they lied to the public.

“we do have to take this news with a gigantic grain of salt,”
Sorry, but if that paper had the NY/LA Slimes or Washington Post across the top , the reporting of the National Enquirer regarding the Edwards affair would have won a Pulizer.

I have as much sympathy for him as he would have for me. My reading is he would have zero sympathy for me if he knew I even existed and was hypothetically headed off to jail.

Interesting that he spent his life joyfully taking men to court, and now he is terrified of same.
Irony is defined here.

That’s like feeling sorry for Ted Bundy because he was depressed when he was being led to the ‘lectric chair.

Ironic, too, that in court he channeled babies in order to destroy careers, and his downfall came when one channeled him — in genetic code — and destroyed his.

He made his money chasing ambulances and driving up the cost of medical care in his stateI was thinking the same thing
How many babies died because of lack of pre-natal care his state could no longer afford to offer mothers to be.
I have "0" sympathy for this POS.
He needs to man up and face the consequences of his actions

The two worst things that can happen to you are to die or go to jail and he don’t have worry about either.
