On Bret Baier FOX News show yesterday Charles Krauthammer revealed that Donald Trump had called him personally and as a result of their conversation Krauthammer is convinced Trump is "absolutely" running for president.
It was a surprise, and when my secretary told me, I put on a helmet and a flak jacket as I answered the phone. I expected a tirade, which he had every right to do given what I have been saying about him. In fact, he was courteous but very calm, and he made his case, rather than sort of attacking everything I said about him. Simply, he made his case: “I’m a serious businessman, I’m a serious candidate"...I give him credit for the way he conducted himself [on the phone call].
Krauthammer has been a very vocal critic of Trump's intentions. But more importantly Krauthammer is generally unafraid to be a vocal skeptic and critic of many members of his party (he's had not nice things to say about Sarah Palin in the past) and isn't afraid to give Obama credit for very unpopular moves. So his validation of Trump's intentions were immediately carried far and wide in the blogosphere yesterday as some sort of proof it was okay to take Trump intentions seriously.
That's not to say Krauthammer takes Trump seriously. In his column today calls him a "spectacle" and says the "Lions have a better chance at winning the Super Bowl."

I’m a Lions fan.
He has only said that recently, when he is attempting to play to the right. His entire history he has been pro-abortion. He is like any other politician or used car salesman, he will say what he thinks you want to hear to close the sale facing him. You have to look at his entire history to know if he isn't BS'ing you.
It will be a shortened season, which is not in the Lions favor. But I do see the Lions going 10-6, possibly 11-5.
If Donald can beat Obama, am on board.
for me beating obama in 2012 is my goal 1-10 - period.
If the GOP can hold on to the congress - they can mitigate a stupid stuff he does. But compared to Bama - Trump would be a massive improvement.

Somebody who calmly and courteously makes his case!
Contrast this with the tiresome tirades, invectives, distortions, misrepresentations, distractions, intentional misunderstandings, dishonesty, malice, and ad hominem attacks spewing constantly from the Left--unintentional but unavoidable admissions that they cannot make their case.
I think he is going to pick West.
The Lions did benefit from the last shortened season, and were a missed Eddie Murray FG away from making the NFC Championship Game....Curse you Eddie Murray!!!!
I would agree with you if the country were still governed by men who respected the rule of law. Sadly we are beyond that era. When obama is more than willing to 'rule' by fiat...czars, executive orders and regulatory abuse ...the Presidency is extremely important.
I do agree if there is a season the Lions are looking real good, IF Stafford can finally stay healthy.

FR Opinion = Republican Voter Opinion is a mistake that many still make here. Many of those who are registered to vote GOP are far too "moderate" to survive on FR.
I trust Trump will make great SCOTUS appointments.
