Posted on 04/22/2011 9:36:39 AM PDT by RaceBannon
COSTCO has admitted to several Islamic groups that their lamb is sacrificed according to Islamic Standards and is fully certified as HALAL meat, something that Christians in the world and Jews in the world need to be aware of.
Below are snoips of the original articles where this information came from
Bye, bye COSTCO.
Yesterday was the last time you saw me.
If you want your food sacrificed to a false god whose religion kills people at random for burning books or rapes women for dressing immodest according to their wishes, go for it.
Everyone else, feel free to think rightly!
That should have been “Since” instead of “Unless”...
That’s what I get for revising my statement...
Be sure to let them know why.
IMO, it’s wrong that they’re selling Halal meats without the appropriate label. While we no longer have our membership to COSTCO, it makes me wonder about our local grocery store and whether their meats are Halal minus the label, too.
I have a plan.
Go to Costco.
Get all the bacon you can. Maybe some good ham too.
Put it ON TOP of the halal stuff.
(Works best if some muzzie is watching)
I think St. Paul had something to say about this since in his day in some towns the meat that was available was all sacrificed to the pagan gods.
Some of their pork in the meat section ins't wrapped too tight. Sometimes the pork blood seeps out. And sometimes that blood gets all over the place.
I don’t have a problem with Campbell’s Soup being Halal as long as it is prominently marked. I don’t think there is anything wrong with a manufacturer trying to appeal particular ethnic groups. It is the nature of product marketing to create variants for identifiable segments of the population.
Oh thanks a lot. Now you tell me. We just bought lamb chops at Costco yesterday and had them last night. No wonder I had that sudden urge to face toward the East. LOL!
Not even close.
OK. Which method of slaughter is according to Islamic law and which is the menthod of slaughter for the Jewish dietary laws?
1) the jugular vein, carotid artery, esophagus and trachea in a single continuous cutting movement with an unserrated, sharp knife, which is intended to avoid unnecessary pain to the animal.
2)This method of slaughtering animals consists of using a well sharpened knife to make a swift, deep incision that cuts the front of the throat, the carotid artery, wind pipe and jugular veins but leaves the spinal cord intact
“COSTCO has admitted to several Islamic groups that their lamb is sacrificed according to Islamic Standards...”
That mean they raped a child and stoned a woman over the meat before packing it for sale?
My wife loved COSTCO, but a year or so ago when we got their magazine that had a big spread of Al Gore on the cover, she cancelled our membership.
Thank you for this information. A few days ago my wife bought a $33 lamb roast from our local Costco. She was going to cook it tonight. I told her about this post. When she checked the roast, sure enough it had arabic writing on it, indicating halal. She just took it back, got a refund and told the manager why she was returning it. No halal in this house.
“Which method of slaughter is according to Islamic law and which is the menthod of slaughter for the Jewish dietary laws?”
The one that does not involve a sacrifice to the pagan idol in Mecca.
I, as a Christian am instructed to avoid meat sacrificed to idols (like the black rock in mecca) in Acts 15.
The reason, as so aptly explained by Paul had nothing to do with the stupid rock or the demon muslims worship, but to avoid giving credibility to a false religion.
As a Christian, I recogonize Judaism as a true religion, but incomplete.
As a Christian, I recognize Islam as a false relgion, completely.
“If I eat some halal meat, I will indeed appropriately offer it to Allah the next morning.”
I agree that is the most appropriate offering. I checked; my seat in the throne room faces mecca.
May poop be upon allah’s head and piss be upon mohamed head. Many offerings a day.
I tried calling Costco at the number you listed and got put in a loop that kept returning me to the same recorded message. I finally asked to be sent to a department link and found out that their offices are closed today for the holiday. I will make sure to ask them what holiday they were closed for when I call their offices on Monday!
Costco Corporate HQs is (425) 313-8100
I would make sure every time I visit Costco to place a pack of bacon or two among the packages of this stuff.
Now that is funny. You DEFINITELY owe me a new computer. That was so funny.
“beware, you might be eating meat offered to ALLAH!”
Does that make it taste different?
Does it make the meat less nutritious or gratifying?
I eat regular meat and even kosher once in a while, should I stop eating the kosher meat?
I might go for some AHALAL pork. That’s where the hog’s butt is pointed toward Mecca ...
To me, this is yet another symbol of giving Islam credibility as a religion, which I believe it is not, but rather a political ideology with a religious component.
‘They’ won't be satisfied until the USA is called a Judeo-Christian-Islam country, which has already been seen in some places.
I'm disappointed at some remarks in this thread, giving the Halal Lamb a pass, of sorts.
How many other stores will follow suit, making our shopping very hard if we choose not to buy Halal??
Muslims will not stop until they rule everywhere, and don't seem to mind how long it takes.
PRAY FOR and WAKE UP AMERICA!
E A S T E R + G R E E T I N G S !
He is Risen! He is Risen, indeed!
Saying Grace thanks the true God for the meal.
God trumps Satan any day.
Stick with pork and you won’t have to worry :):):)
So the f*** what? Are you afraid of magic words, or something?
I smile whenever I turn over a product and it’s from Israel - whether I’m buying it or not.
Seems there’s Israeli items in our discount stores - - -
(Didn’t CAIR - hate giving THEM any credibility...- or someone threaten Trader Joe’s a while back for carrying an Israeli product)??
Don’t believe Trader Joe’s had to back down -
Y E A ! Thank goodness.
This country pampers Muslims, - I can’t see anything good coming from this.
I’d be more concern about all the beef that goes around that is close to killing people, such as the estimated 50% of beef now being sold from steer feed on anti-biotic.
There are some pretty cruel beheadings online, I don’t want to see them again, nor do I recommend you look them up.
The Muslims are the only one with standing to be offended in a Christian Nation. Ask any warfighter what Christian practices, they are allowed while they defend these people.
Fractal you have no clue what dimmitude is do you, unless of course you are Muslim.
Throwing in blotted out F bombs make you look so much more intelligent. It saddens me to see FR, I occasionally throw in a d@mn out of frustration, but do we really need to sink even lower?
Frankly Scarlet I don’t give a d@mn, 1938, was the camel’s nose under the tent, must we let him in completely?
No problem, RB. Paul affirmed the apostle’s Holy Spirit-given decision to allow Christians to eat whatever is healthful. His warning against eating meat offered to idols was specifically to prevent people from being scandalized into thinking we were participating in that sacrifice. Cultrurally insenstive to Christians? Yes. Idolatry for Christians? No.
I love that.
It’s bigger than we thought, but people need to realize this is MORE than Christians eating pagan idol food
It is the submission to Islamic Sensitivities, when a Jewish person eats Kosher, it is sold in a separate section, clearly labeled as such, and known to be Kosher
HALAL meat is NOT known as such!!
When people like you start telling me I must bend over to Allah, I think it is normal to be offended
I can probably count on one finger the times I've done that. I thought Mr. Bannon's post was sufficiently stupid to merit it.
Your irrational fears have got the best of you, Race. Like there's monsters under your bed or something. It's just a hunk of meat.
No, it is a murder cult, telling me that i must submit to their religious desires, and how normal people running businesses that control our food, are now submitting to THEIR religious sensitivities by sacrificing OUR food to their pagan god and that my religious concerns are immaterial
If you cant see the danger in that, it is not me who is irrational
Therefore, as to the eating of food offered to idols, we know that "an idol has no real existence," and that "there is no God but one." For although there may be so-called gods in heaven or on earthas indeed there are many "gods" and many "lords" yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.
However, not all possess this knowledge. But some, through former association with idols, eat food as really offered to an idol, and their conscience, being weak, is defiled. Food will not commend us to God. We are no worse off if we do not eat, and no better off if we do. But take care that this right of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block to the weak. For if anyone sees you who have knowledge eating in an idols temple, will he not be encouraged, if his conscience is weak, to eat food offered to idols? And so by your knowledge this weak person is destroyed, the brother for whom Christ died. Thus, sinning against your brothers and wounding their conscience when it is weak, you sin against Christ. Therefore, if food makes my brother stumble, I will never eat meat, lest I make my brother stumble.(1 Cor. 8:1-13)
My wife renewed but I didn't. I refuse to step inside any Costco store after what they did to that man (forget his name) in Las Vegas; because of their employee's stupidity they set up the cops to murder him. Unforgiveable.
“Unless koranimals don’t do the ha-lalalala-lala-la-la with pork products, I’m safe from their demonic taint.”
“There are some pretty cruel beheadings online, I dont want to see them again, nor do I recommend you look them up.”
Believe me, I won’t. What I’ve heard and read so upset me, I don’t think my psyche could stand it, and I pray it will never happen here. Very afraid for our dear republic - SO many people just have no idea how serious a threat we face in radical (devout) Islam. They don’t know how much they don’t know, NOR do they seem to care about learning.
This is so silly. Jews will often eat Halal and Muslims kosher as their requirements are very similar. That and “Allah” just means God in Arabic.
I’ve eaten more than my fair share of halal meats during my two deployments and I haven’t grown horns yet.
Kosher and Halal are not even close, that is an ignorant statement
As I understand it, Kosher meat is Halal, though not approved by the correct authority. In the early days of Gitmo, we served prisoners Kosher MREs, with no complaints. Now we have Kosher and Halal MREs.
Even Kosher for Passover MREs, Kosher, halal MREs feed religious diversity
BBQ MREs will be available by summer.
I believe the strict Islamic law of slaughter, which is closer to Kashrut other than blessings, is called Dhabihah, but it's not an issue most places.
Oh please. I do stand corrected on Jews eating Halal. That statement came from a Jewish friend years ago who I guess didn’t keep strict kosher. But Muslims will eat Kosher and the manner of slaughter is similar.
I shouldn’t have taken the bait on a so over-the-top thread.
I’ve googled a whole bunch of websites on this and from my research the manner of slaughter is more similar than it is different.
Sure, it’s not the same, but knife across the throat, don’t get the spinal column sums it up. Yes, you’re right there are differences, but the manner of slaughter IS similar. Not the same, but similar as I said.
Race’s assertions that Halal and Kosher are “are not even close” is not borne by the facts of even the most rudimentary research.
Do Kosher butchers praise allah while they are killing the animal?
Did you even catch on to what this thread is about?
