At this point I think he’s probably right about everyone who will be aboard is already aboard.

The interesting thing is that one said he knew his post was wrong as soon as he hit the 'post' button and asked for it to be removed. It was removed in less than 15 minutes of its posting yet the SS were at his place of work the next day.
There were far fewer threads and posts in 2000 than there are today but it was still only one of thousands of posts that day and was only visible for that brief time. That suggests that there was a good deal of manpower and/or technology devoted to the task.

I am re-reading Atlas Shrugged after over 50 years, and I am seeing the things Rand wrote about taking shape before my eyes. Saw them coming all along, but hoped I was wrong. I was not wrong. And because people didn’t want to hear it then, you are right, people will fall right into line and take what they can get! Disgusting! Immoral! Stupid! Unforgivable! And I think we’ve passed the point of no return, may God have mercy on our souls!

I look at Vietnam as somewhat of a model of how life continues even after a nation falls to communism. They had such a strong free market instinct that the black market thrived despite attempts by the communists to kill it.

Thank you, I was in the midst of talking with my daughter and only half recalled that saying. Back to my original point, we as a nation of patriots must unite against a central government that will dictate our day to day lives. That was the premis of my original statement.
