Most likely cut the number of flights per day in half for at least a month.

Lots of ppl injured by flying glass. Highway 270 is a parking lot due to power lines down. Nasty little storm this was.

I got a breaking news tweet that said among other things semi standing on end. WOW!

After staying overnight in St. Charles (5 miles from the airport), I left the area about 2pm, thankfully. I pointed out to my son how dark the sky looked to the Northwest (somewhat less dark than the Southwest sky).

Boy, do I feel fortunate!

ST. LOUIS – Several people at Lambert Airport in St. Louis were injured Friday after an apparent tornado touched down, spewing debris over the airfield, bursting glass in the concourse and damaging cars atop a parking garage.

The tornado was part of a series of strong storms that struck central and eastern Missouri. Unconfirmed tornadoes were reported in several counties in the St. Louis area.
