Libyan rebels sold Hizballah and Hamas chemical shells

Senior Libyan rebel “officers” sold Hizballah and Hamas thousands of chemical shells from the stocks of mustard and nerve gas that fell into rebel hands when they overran Muammar Qaddafi’s military facilities in and around Benghazi, DEBKAfile’s exclusive military and intelligence sources report.

Word of the capture touched off a scramble in Tehran and among the terrorist groups it sponsors to get hold of their first unconventional weapons.

According to our sources, the rebels offloaded at least 2,000 artillery shells carrying mustard gas and 1,200 nerve gas shells for cash payment amounting to several million dollars.

US and Israeli intelligence agencies have tracked the WMD consignments from eastern Libya as far as Sudan in convoys secured by Iranian agents and Hizballah and Hamas guards. They are not believed to have reached their destinations in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, apparently waiting for an opportunity to get their deadly freights through without the US or Israel attacking and destroying them.

Some of Juan McCain's "heroes" no doubt. With the sale of all that mustard gas to Iran and other terrorists, and the additional support Juan is asking for on their behalf, those hero rebels will soon have much more stuff to work with.

Good question - what are we even doing there in Libya?

Poses a serious threat to our ally Israel (OUR ally; not Obama’s).

The Obama administration doesn’t know who it’s dealing with in Libya, Clizbe says. “They don’t have an entry plan. They don’t have an exit plan. The strategy doesn’t seem to be anything more than hope and change.”

Ex-CIA agent chimes in:

This would actually be good news in a perverse way. If the towel heads use chemical weapons, the Israekis would be forced to wipe them out in retaliation.

Who are we supporting in this war?

Well, we participated in the initial No Fly Zone, the continued to participate after it was turned over to NATO. Since most official statements have said Gaddafi needs to go, and a few have said we should stay out of it.

Of course, John McCain is over there calling the rebels heroes and advocating more aid for them.

I dont believe it.

The rebels are only 1000
Gadffhi gave up his wmd in 2003
He came running to give it up “please dont hurt me”

I dont support any of them. we have no vested interest there.
Gadaffhi was playing nice.
Who the fudge are the rebels?

WE have no interest in Libya.

Now Obama has NATO engaged, and the last word is that NATO is getting its ass kicked, so they are wooing algeria, egypt, chad and tunisia to assist helping the great NATO.

This is going very badly.

We have no interest in the matter but have declared that we cant take ata 3rd world nomad desert country, and we are calling on more Bedouins to muddy the fight.

It's Debka.

Additionally, Mo gave up all nuclear materials and pursuit of nuclear weapons in agreement with Bush 43, and has been inspected.

Likely all chemical stuff went also, but it's possible.

Suspect source not credible.

That is correct he did, and then daffy started turning over all AQ, to the united states. Obummer could not handle that, so he and France and Britain cook up this deal to steal the oil. And put some American educated Libyans in charge so they could pay money to the democrats under the table for years. Nice way to make up for lost union dues.

Here is a better source, and I don't mean CNN but the U.S. officials and others they quote, saying that Libya still has 10 tons of mustard gas.

Libyan chaos raises worries over chemical weapons stockpile

The elimination of the mustard gas and other chemical agents has dragged along.

The remaining 10 tons of material were to have been destroyed by the end of 2010; however, OPCW agreed to extend the deadline until May 15 of this year.

Crail said Libya has dragged its feet because it feels the United States and the United Kingdom have not carried through on their promises for scientific cooperation and help with building nuclear reactors in Libya.

Oh, great.

More weapons of mass destruction. If they are there, nothing but trouble. If they’re not there, that means some Republican is lying to get us into a war.

About the only thing we’ll know for sure is that whatever kind of cluster-buck it turns into, Obama won’t get any blame.

Good question.

They play themselves off as a Mideast based news source that always has the “hot screaming poop” and “inside dope” on what is happening, or going to happen, in that neck of the woods — but their track record for accuracy is less than stellar.

In fact it’s bloody awful. I can’t recall two instances where they reported, or predicted, something that actually came to pass.

Sometimes I think Debka is just a Jewish teenage boy in Tel Aviv having fun with the Internet.

“As you likely know, Westmoorland was under order to bring about those resaults, when politics runs a war it can only end one way”

I read Westy’s book “A Soldier Reports” he’s a fool!

Marine leadership in the Vietnam era fought him tooth and nail, to no avail, as he was the overall commander. Shame because he, more than anyone else, filled US body bags.

Can you tell I’m not a Westy fan? Reading Norman Swartzkoff’s autobiography, you’ll see that disqust with Westy almost led to Norman’s quiting the Army. Another officer convinced him to stay and become and agent of Army reform......NS set the course that has led to a much better run Army, with a better ethic/ethos.

This is silly Debka stuff.

If the Israelis knew there was a convoy carrying 2000 nerve gas shells to Hamas and Hizbollah, they would blow it up somewhere in the desert killing all associated with such a nefarious plot.

It takes a “gun” to shoot artillery shells. Is there any dope on caliber, etc.? If the desert dopes don’t have the proper hardware then the shells would be a serious liability——waiting for the story of Ahmed trying to disassemble one (snicker)

In my not so humble opinion they are not reliable. I find them more as entertainment or a good place to get your blood boiling.

Then again others here would request that the post be yanked as it is "Not a news source", heh.

Personally I feel that if Iran, Al-Queda, Hezzbollah, or the other mooslime hordes had WMD, they would have used them already.

That and 99 cents will get you a McDonald's coffee.
