I agree with you that inflation caused by printing dollars is a culprit in the price of oil. If one dollar bought .333 gallon last year, the one dollar will purchase the amount that is adjusted for the rate of inflation.
Corsi, no friend of Obama by any means, suggests in a recent article that real inflation is 5% higher than the government number. That would make it about 8%.
That would mean that at the end of the year, you should get 92% of.333 for a buck. That would be .309 gallon. IOW, gas would be 3.25 a gallon instead of the $3 it started the year at. The other 75 cents is attributable to Obama being a market manipulator on behalf of OPEC.
Oil is NOT a free market. It is distorted by a cartel. Cartels use all kinds of strategems to raise their prices, and with oil not being a very elastic commodity, they are able to give stupid explanations for price increases and get away with them.
Trump pointed out today after Obama yelled “uncle” to him over the BC, that there are hundreds of tankers at sea full of oil and unwilling/unable to dock.
It’s not a matter of supply.
