Because “African-American” is, by definition, multicultural.

Apparently your PC indoctrination did not take. :-)

African American Family Day

Does anyone have a zoo calendar? I'm curious what day "White Family Day" is.

Six Flags has a Muslim day. Will not visit there until they do away with it. Who in their right mind would show up on Muslim day?

What’s really surprising is that Obomba and family did not make it to the day at the Zoo....his family sure seems to qualify for it....(take that however you like)

I haven’t had that happen, but back in the old days I used to get off the highway in the South Bronx so I could take a bridge over to Manhattan. There was one really slummy block along the way, and a stop light.

I always made sure not to pull all the way up to the light if it was red, but to leave some room so I could move forward if some of the thuggish pedestrians approached the car. Which was locked, of course, but I didn’t entirely trust that while stopped. And I figured if necessary I’d run the red light and take my chances with the police.

Good advice. I will keep that in mind for the future. It all happened so fast that I just didn’t have time to think and was completely boxed in. I will be thanking the Good Lord tonight for his saving grace.

No, something I learned quite young from cruising in a sailboat. Always anticipate trouble and plan a response, because there ain’t much time when it happens.

It could be the article at the link has changed, but this is NOT in it: Easter Monday is traditionally African American Family Day at the National Zoo. Easter Monday has been a Washington-area multicultural tradition that spans more than 100 years.

And if it were, I call B.S. Show me some examples of this so-called 100-year-old tradition. Yes, please tell me, what multicultural events were going on in D.C. in 1911?

What utter crap.

Sounds racist.

Easter Monday has been a Washington-area multicultural tradition that spans more than 100 years.

Sounds mono-, not multi-cultural.

They heard Colossus was "the bomb" and they got all excited.

Wonder how I can find out when Swedish-American family day is?

If you find out, let me know when Swedish-American single college girl day is. Or Russian.

Ha ha, so funny, I did that today! Took big brother out to the airport, then ran into Manhattan, and then back home to City Island.

$6.50 at the Whitestone
$6.50 at the Triboro
$ 0 at the Willis Ave.

And keep a safe distance at the light by the gas station.

And you LIVE or WORK in a city?

Are you a leftist or were you asleep for the past 20 years? (could be same thing)

Never ever leave yourself without a way out. Even if it means going over people.
