A 12 year old child cannot legally buy cigarettes or alcohol. But he can have access to pictures and films of gay sex, s&m, and bestiality, at the touch of a button. Does this make sense?

The stores that sell hustler or penthouse, do not sell magazines to people under the age of 18. Why shouldn't the same rules apply on the internet? Bestiality is also illegal in most states, just like child porn. Then why is the stuff allowed on the internet?

I would argue that, yes, our smut has damaged us worldwide. However, I’d say it’s not just porn. When I was in Australia, (which is free with the porn - make no mistake) I heard many, many comments about “trashy American rubbish” coming out of Hollywood. So it’s not just porn - it’s our TV & movies, too.

I volunteer my tech services and belong to an anime fansub group. I also am active in that community. Japan is the biggest child pornography market in the world and their hentai’ mangas and animes make whatever Europe’s sickest and perverted vision look like choir boys. Why is this concept so difficult to wrap your head around? I could define pornography--specifically--in a way that 90% of people would agree with.

Of all the canards regarding porn, this one is the most intellectually dishonest. It's the equivalent of saying, "It's too hard to define porn, so we shouldn't even bother trying."
