Legislation to abolish the California Air Resources Board has been killed by a legislative committee.
The proposal by Assemblyman Tim Donnelly, R-Twin Peaks, died Monday in the Assembly's Natural Resources Committee on a party-line vote, with Democrats opposed to the measure.
Assembly 1332 would have transferred the Air Resources Board's duties, powers and jurisdiction to the state Environmental Protection Agency.

CA is long gone.
In California, we don’t just nail our own coffin shut. We do it from the INSIDE of the coffin.
Talk about a skyscraper full of non-essential staff and programs.
You can say that again. The CARB and the CEPA both are a bunch of little green hitlers.
Sadly for the author of this article double negatives are never wise and even less so when it comes to headlines or titles.
I live here and must agree.
So much for consolidation and making government more efficient.
