(CNN) The White House released President Obama’s original birth certificate Wednesday.
The surprise release follows recent and sustained remarks by businessman Donald Trump, among others, that raised doubts as to whether the president was born in the United States.

Yep. And what’s interesting is that Trump is on now talking about it and he says he’s honored that he was able to accomplish this because even the Clintons couldn’t get him to release the thing.

LFBC? Or a Certified Copy of an Original Record kept by the State in a book of original vital records? Next question, is the child, of an American citizen and a foreigner, a natural born American citizen or an American citizen by default? Is it natural for a child to be denied the citizenship of one parent’s homeland over the other? What is natural? And will Mr. Trump talk about whether it is constitutional to elect a child born to a foreign parent as the president of our nation? Is it natural for a foreigner to be the parent of a natural born American? Or is it natural for that child to be a dual born citizen and a native citizen by default of one parental’s citizenship nation or the other?
This was definately a rope a dope issue. Now he won’t have to show any other records because he will be able to say “look I showed them my birth certificate and they still didn’t believe me. Why should I show anything else.”. He will be getting lots of sympathy from the MSM. They will be talking about what fools the birthers were and trying to associate them with all conservatives and the Teaparty.
I would imagine that if this is a forgery, it was done by the very best and is very hard to detect. I would focus on the issue of why it wasn’t released sooner. Anything he releases at this point is irredeemably tarnished in my eyes.

I’m around Barry’s age, and was born in NYS. And even accounting for the difference in states, size of the municipalities, and hospitals, my BC doesn’t look anything like that COLB. FWIW.

Was the lawyer’s letter sufficient to get across the need to relase the entire record? What if he was adopted? Would something be attached to it, or would the records be amended? This does NOT answer my questions about the BC in the least. Also, why is the father’s race labelled “African?”

How come the 1 in 1961 on block 20 looks like it’s written in?Both "1"'s in the 1961 date stamp look similar ... reference blocks 20 and 22 ...This could be one of those rotating stampy thingies where you can change the year by moving to the next number. the "1" would be 'fresher' compared to the '196', due to having been put into effect at the beginning of the year.

I don’t think “birthers” will be disappointed, even if it proves to be an authentic copy that has not been altered.
I think those disappointed will be the HIDERS who have insisted that Zero should not have the burden of proof to show that he meets the constitutional requirement of office—35 years old and a NBC. HIDERS are opposed to the logical process of proof; they prefer to act on subjective feeling.
Of course in order to prove that, an authentic (as opposed to photoshopped) birth certificate is only a first step.
By the way, would you be diasppointed if Zero were to divulge his passport and school records?
