Michelle Obama makes Ashley Olsen's dreams come true as she wears $1,170 . . . skirt

In an interview last year, Ashley Olsen said that she would love to see Michelle Obama wear one of her designs. Now, it seems, her dream has come true.

The U.S. First Lady wore a skirt from The Row, the label Miss Olsen, 24, designs with her twin sister Mary-Kate, on The View last week.

Mrs Obama, who appeared on the show with Jill Biden, teamed the pale grey pleated Evelyn skirt, worth $1,170 with a cream V-neck and kitten-heel shoes.

Though expensive, the President's wife's choice represents a support of American industry, as all of the Olsen twins' designs are made in the U.S.

Rather hideous - looks like it includes a codpiece.

The top doesn’t match with the skirt. My eyes bleed.

Way overpriced, regardless of who is wearing it.

Waiting for the Monistat to kick in.

There’s a whole lot better things to do with $1170 than the 1st lady wearing a theater curtain.

I so agree with you, and maybe someone less tall too. I’m about a 4, sometimes 6, skirt size but a little taller than Wookie. Pleats are not something flattering on me.

I know how hard it is to find clothes and shoes for taller, *bigger* women — but she could have a few nice things custom-made, and they DO make decent dress shoes now in big feet....

It makes me sick. She also tries to look 20-30 years younger with her clothes.

Maybe the "kitten-heel shoes" are cute, but the rest of the outfit is BLAH. It takes a certain je ne sais quoi to spend so much money to so little purpose.

No one with hips wider than 34 inches should ever wear accordian pleats. Probably one of the most unflattering fashions.

I TRY to stay on her about her posture, but she WILL slouch... (a line from Atia about daughter Octavia in the HBO series, Rome.)

Finally an outfit that looks nice! Way too expensive, wonder who’s paying for it?
