He was adopted by a Kansas couple.
I believe that makes him an official citizen.

“Superman drops in on an Iranian protest to stand with demonstrators in an act of nonviolent civil disobedience, the U.S. government takes him to task for acting as an instrument of national policy. Superman responds by renouncing his American citizenship”
So if you reason that through, the State Department gets on Kal’s case and he tells them to take a hike. After decades of the most powerful villains in the universe, it took Hillary Clinton to run Superman off.

at the time of the first action comic with superman, immigration law was much different.
you are correct. The adoption establishes he is a citizen ....AND
at the time of his oragin it is not unusual for a child’s birth to not be recorded. If memory serves, in one version the kent’s just stayed inside during winter and in the spring there was the baby.

My screen name aside, I'm done with comics. Thanks DC, it's been a fun ride for the last 40 years...but this is the proverbial straw that's broken the camel's back.

Isnt he
an illegal alien? Since when did we start admitting people from Krypton, anyway? Don't be silly. George and Martha Kent were both US Citizens, and they adopted him, making him their son and thus a US citizen as well.

His first stop on Planet Earth wasn't Smallville, it was Cleveland, Ohio in 1932 on the drafting board of Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. He was naturalized ages ago.
It's rumored he played for Paul Brown during the fifties and early sixties but couldn't stand Art Modell and moved on. This is why the Brownies went from the winningest (by percentage) franchise in the NFL to the three legged dog operation they have been ever since.

I think Superman moved to Spain and took on the persona of Lionel Messi.

I may have read it wrong, but I think Dana was talking about “SUPERFLY” not SUPERMAN.
