Can you imagine if George Bush refused to release his birth certificate and a black officer found himself
in the same situation as LTC Lakin ? ??
There would be comparisons to Nelson Mandela and no doubt daily demonstrations
outside the entrance to Ft Leavenworth and outside the White house.

It seems obvious to me that this campaign to paint the president as some sort of usurper — this insistence that despite winning the popular vote by a healthy margin and the electoral vote by a landslide, he wasn't really elected — has everything to do with race. Does anyone disagree? Well, just imagine what the birthers would be saying if Obama — like his Republican opponent in 2008, John McCain — had been born in the Panama Canal Zone.

What? This guy does realize that the original birther conspiracies were in fact directed at McCain over the Panama Canal Zone and was an issue in the press at the time, doesn't he? And he also does remember that the birther stuff against Obama started on the DEMOCRATIC side of the during the primary in 2008, doesn't he?

This just in: President Obama has proved, yet again, that he is a natural-born citizen of the United States.

He hasn't done anything of the sort until he quits hiding what he's been hiding, and then we can see for ourselves that it isn't that he is ineligible for the office.

We still have the murky issue of whether his biological father deprived him of NBC status, and the further issue of whether he deprived himself of NBC status by alienage and by using Indonesian passports or claiming Indonesian citizenship after he returned to Hawaii -- and whether he renaturalized properly after his stay in Indonesia as an Indonesian citizen.

I like the way he just makes an unsubstantiated assertion, and then -- rather then back it up with any sort of substance -- just continues to make more of the same sort of unsubstantiated assertions!
